Has all US black AK polymer furniture, and functioning threads with a vortex-type flash suppresor on, good trigger (was told its G2, but no markings, it IS double hook). the gas block, vented gas tube, e.g. all teh nice chinese parts, are really distinctinive and downright good looking. Especially the gas block - the swept lines on it are simply stunning. Rifle innards are in really good condition, outside looks good too. She takes the norinco mags (like the one she comes with) as well as the KVAR bulgy waffle mags that are readily available now. I'll get a pics or two up ASAP.

IIRC thats the shooting position for the PSL and dragunov, but would not be for a std AK. AK mounts are diferent and slightly higher than weaver or SVD mounts, the posp for AK series is intended for staning moving fire with low magnification, heads up and cerainly right eye. the PSL and dragunov hold is made for left eye shooting. and yes it works VERY well.

Yep. Last I checked Gilberts had many models left including those. Does seem strange though that they are imported that way, when the ATF still says you can't legally assemble one here into that configuration. ATF does not say that. SAIGA's are not on teh prohibitted list of imported weapons. adding these stocks does not make them into an AK. you can indeed put a thumbhole stock on a saiga. even if its russian you would still not be using foriegn parts to assemble a prohitbitted non-importable weapon. unless the ATF decides that a saiga with a thumbhole and NO OTHER MODS is a

I dunno about 'so good', in this age of professioanlyl converted saigas and arsenal milled AK's, they've met their match. Five years ago, for function (and foreever for colelctibility), you'd probably have a hard time matching them though.

does this mean you can use the AR mag well converter piece too? or will the upper part require mods as well? If you can get the galil mag adaptor working, I may just get another saiga for you tony!

Im talking about markings, not just names. SOG says they are MARKED fpk which as we all know is a bogus name and suggest a kit build. romak III's from what I've heard tend to be authentic and shipped here whole.

rangefinder gives you distance, then you can just turn to the correct distance using the elevation knob which should be marked in distance. for distances over 1K meter, use the 1K setting and then the reticle has 1100 and 1200 meter markings.

tough call. I had a romak three and miss her DEARLY. had an RSA trigger and the rare 4-12 1p21 scope. I'm a moron. but at least I have my saiga. IMO, the saiga should be more accurate, but this is splitting hairs. both will do well with teh right ammo (I hear the right - nay, ONLY, ammo to put through a PSL is 148 gr wolf). my saiga feed son Black Hills 175 gr BTHP match only, and she's doing as well or better than teh PSL did. but like I said splitting hairs. pop a good trigger in and use good ammo in either adn you'll blow away the AK haters.

there's NO physical way the cover isn't moving. ALOT. the hope is that the tightness means it returns to the same place when the commotion ends. Don't fool yourslef into thinking andy of these sheet0metal receiver covers are stable, be it AK, galil, valmet etc. That's not to say they aren't accurate and dependble - but don't say no movement till you have someone record you shooting with high speed camera and then watch your 'tight' receiver cover in slo-mo. for what its worth, I'm probably going with the tromix HK style sights and those are dust cover (that's all the cover is really)

Kimber TLE/RL II Pro in 95% condition EASY. That is a Lage stock--it fits on an Ace hinge. It is high density polymer. stock is GREat. feels good, works good, looks evil.
