  1. I emailed in the event he can help, but this is the part.
  2. The part number is AK-142 B and is a gas block for a Arsenal 106 UR .223 AK. KVAR was no help but maybe you guys have some other suggestions. My buddies Krink builder screwed up and cut off the gas block so now I'm trying to find him a new gas block, I've already found him a new builder!
  3. Ordered a UTG mount that won't work with a Tromix Saiga OR and Arsenal AK-47 106 UR. The mount will not clear the sights on either gun. Any suggestions?
  4. I'll take a look at it when I get home from work and let you know. Any suggestions where to get swivel and a bungee sling?
  5. I need to sling this thing for an upcoming shoot and could use some advice on where to get one and how it's mounted. A single point bungee type would be great but beggars can't be choosers so I'll take what I can get.
  6. I don't know if it's made but I need a scope mount for my Saiga 12 Tromix build. It has the mp5 sights so I'd like one that's high enough to see over the iron sights so I can also use my Eotech.
  7. I appreciate the info and will post pics, it looks like a good time! By the way for any folks in PA it's at this link, http://nhrpc.org/, and is the Halloween Zombie Shoot. I'll be shooting one day and assisting the pres of the club (life long friend), as staff for the rest of the event.
  8. Hey guys, haven't posted in awhile but I know this is the place to come. I'm shooting in a 3 gun match in PA in the middle of October and I'm scrambling to get things together. The shotgun I'm using is a Tromix built 8 inch barrel Saiga 12 but I've got ammo questions. I have the MD Drum and AGP mags and have only been using low recoil Federal buckshot in th gun. I was informed we will HAVE to use low brass game loads (quail, grouse, etc). I have not installed Mike's gas plug and have been running the factory one. My question is with the above mentioned ammo what gas setting is needed and shoul
  9. I'll take 374, 562, and 998
  10. What is the mount used in that? I guess since it's quick release I could choose to not be so picky and have access to the iron sights.
  11. Is there a reason the other is better than the Eotech? I was going to go with the Eotech because I can get significant LE discount.
  12. I've got a Tromix built 8 inch shorty with mp5 sights with the built in rail on the side for mounting a scope/red dot. I'd like a quick detach mount that's tall enough to use the iron sights but still allows me to attach an Eotech red dot. Is there such an animal and does anyone have any suggestions for places to get one?
  13. Sure, here's the link: http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/saiga-tromix-fixed-stock-with-pistol-grip-assembly-p-270.html
  14. Any problem using the Tromix or Ace Folder combos from Miss. Arms? They appear drop in with no mods. Keep in mind this project is really for my Dad who lives across the country from me. I'm trying to find the items for him as he isn't very handy so the conversion thing isn't very realistic.
  15. What's involved with adding a folding stock and pistol grip to a stock saiga? Are there any drop in units available and I could also use suggestions where to get the stock and pistol grip.
  16. This comes straight from the Glock Armorers School, the hole was designed as a drain plug/channel if the gun were submerged in water and aides in draining quickly. That's what we were told so I'll go with it until I hear otherwise. I don't think it will make any difference with a stuck mag as you could tap it from the top if you remove the upper. I haven't tried yet, but I think it could be done based on other experiments I've done. The plug does help debris from getting into the trigger housing of the Glock.
  17. 1. I started with a Mosin Nagant 1891/30 that is essentially new and was packed in cosmo when I got it! 2. WW2 Russian PE Scope Mount ( it detaches and utilizes a see thru design for use of iron sights 3. Bolt was bent and swept backward, and then polished inside and out 4. I went with a Nikon 3x-9x mil rect. (original or repros are 4x and just don't have the quality optics I wanted, this will be used for hunting season!) http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=xc7ztd&s=5
  18. Here's the story! One of my co-workers gave one of our sgt's a mossberg 88 that wouldn't fire to repair because the sarge fancies himself as a gunsmith. 2 YEARS later he gets the gun back, and sarge "the gun plumber" returned it with the trigger group completely disassembled. The orginal problem was never found and of course sarge didn't know how to put the genie back in the bottle. This week my co-worker asks me to look at and my experience is nill with this shotgun. I did find 1 pin was missing and the hammer spring is broken which may account for the original problem. He would like my advic
  19. I just started reloading for my ar-15 and my dad just bought a saiga .223 and needs ammo. I was unable to find what the twist is on the Saiga so your help would be appreciated!
  20. My WW II mount came today and is pristine and also weighs a ton. You don't get stuff like this too often. It is the less common of the two types of mounts as the most common is the side mount which requires removal of stock material and limits the scope to the the orginal or repro of the original due to the diameter of the tube which is 26.5 mm. This mount sits right in front of the ejection slot but is raised mount so you can still use the iron sights and spacers were readily available to accomodate a 1 inch diameter scope. here is a pic of the mount and scope
  21. I am not a Guru and am just getting started on my own sniper project. However, the internet is your friend so go here. http://www.surplusrifle.com/mosincarbine/index.asp Great website with lots of info and also has many other gun models listed along with links to parts, aftermarket, bent bolts, etc.
  22. I just got the host rifles in and couldn't be happier. These look like they were in a time machine and come with everything pictured and are dated 1943. The barrels are in new conditon with no issues and the bolts numbers match the receiver numbers. I have the bolt going out to a guy that will bend it and sweep it backward like the original to accomodate the scope. I purchased a WW II vintage scope mount and will drill and tap it when it gets here, (got it on ebay by the way). The last thing will be the scope but I'm gonna embrace modern technology and get a lighted military range finding scop
  23. 614, 512, 324. Thanks for the chance at this, another great idea!
  24. It's typical bullshit from the AA fucktards. They've got nothing left but to try and slander Mike because the more product mike gets to the marketplace, the less product they are going to sell. I would imagine their business is in the beginning stages of bowl winding and it's just a matter of time before that turd finally goes down. Quite honestly if mike wasn't as busy as he is, I would think a slander suit would be in order. Problem is, AA won't have much money to cough up because Walmart sells much cheaper door stops.
