BTT: can someone answer my question about the gas piston?

I can't thank FMBG enough for even thinking about making these,much less actually making a few THOUSAND of them. I heard way back the Galil 308 mags would work,obviously that was a pipe dream as I never was able to find one. I heard later it wasn't exactly a snap in fit. I wasn't in on the pre-order since I found this site to late but even at the late pricing I consider myself fortunate to have functional mags that work. Yes the floorplate was a little sharp edged but a minute with a nail file eased the edges and I am fine with them as is, took maybe a minute per mag to do. Thanks

Is the gas piston a universal AK part? Same size for all variants? 308,7.62x39 ect,ect. It would be senseless to order a part and just cause problems if it doesn't work. And does midway carry them? I have a large wish list going and I may as well finish it up if possible. I got my S 308 from CDNN way back when they were selling for $230.00 and was sure my factory mags would be my only choice and never concerned myself with the 922R crap before............ I recieved mine yesterday. Wow,,,I am also impressed. It looks very professionally made and not a bit of amateur make shift work work. I too look forward to sending some ammo through my rifle but dont anticipate any problems whatsoever. Thanks,,a BIG thanks to those involved in producing these for us.

Q: Is there a variance on the specs for the gas piston? I only see one AK piston listed at RSA.
