  1. Guess that's where part of my problem lies....just severed a rotator cuff, surgery set for Tues. Damn!! Been trying to get together a few different shells so I can get my uncle over to try it out for me until I can. The temptation to try it anyway is about to kill me, but I know how that will end up. All I can do right now is learn from you guys all I can!
  2. Yea me too! I pulled it straight out of the box and went to push the safety down...no go. But all is well now if I can just find the best shells. Going broke buying a little bit of everything.
  3. Ha!....know the pain of the learning process. I'm going broke buying shells, read until my eyes are rolling back and frustrated trying to find any of it in stores! I'm just using the factory 4 round mags for now. I can't imagine using the 30 rd drum. Keep me updated on your reloading adventure!
  4. Well, let me see if I can find some of the Winchester Super X high brass. Have you tried the Federal Premium?
  5. Really?? I was wanting to find shells that I could leave on #1. What is it about the Remington do I need to go to #2? I tried to find some Federal Premium to try but no luck.
  6. Had to order the PDX1, everyone is out around here. Picked up some Remington Express Long Range 3" 6 shot at Wally World, we'll see how it works
  7. Well, after waiting to pick up my new Saiga, spending time taking it apart to get the safety "unstuck" and getting some time off to play, I'm going to pick up some shells this weekend. Through you guys advice, I'm going to get the 3" PDX1 for home defense but was wondering which shells seemed to cycle the best for all of you, they will be for the copperheads. Thought I would buy a few boxes of playing around target shells as well. Thanks for all your advice, I'm fairly new to shotguns, but hell on wheels with a handgun! Thanks!!
  8. FINALLY!!!! ....I just kept playing with it and moving the bolt around and it suddenly came loose! Now maybe I can enjoy this thing.
  9. Still trying to get it to work...no luck. Opened it up and here's pics. I've even pulled the lever away from the body to make sure it wasn't hitting there. Help
  10. Found this if anyone needs it...full manual http://www.eaacorp.com/Manuals/Saiga.pdf
  11. Well...I've tried everything to get the safety lever down....not moving. I've pulled it out and then pushed down...looks like it's been down before, but it's not budging now. I'm attaching photos and hopefully someone may see exactly the problem. Thanks for any help!
  12. Having trouble getting it to go into down position...and wanted to ask before I pushed even harder, or if there was anything that I needed to do before lowering it
  13. Just picked up my new .410, not much in the way of instructions. This is probaly a stupid question...but is the safety lever only able to be disengaged if loaded? Thanks!
  14. Glad to hear everyone seems to be in agreement with the PDX. I'll check out your thread also. Thanks!
