  1. Band called Dead Horse. Guys were from Texas and never got real big, more of a cult following. The only death metal I really got into. Pantera never gets old.
  2. Nothing completes a Saturday night like a good sub and a handle of Kessler!
  3. Used the white out. Turned out pretty good I think! Thanks for the tips!
  4. I've got a universal magnetic one with a red laser light. I would suggest using a green one if you can find one, The red is hard (at least for me) to see even through the scope.
  5. Ah whiteout! Looking at some here at the desk as we speak! So what is the process just smear it on and wipe excess off? Like the red F idea as well. I've honestly never heard of this being done until today, call me sheltered I guess! I'm gonna try this... Josh
  6. What is the easiest way to color in stamping or etching? I kinda like the look of the white colored stamping on black. I'm not sure if I want it on my Saiga 12 or not, but I've got a .40 S&W that I think it would really look good on. I googled it and came up with methods that varied from melted crayons to fingernail paint. Has anyone here tried this. What's the safest method? Kind of leary of using fingernail polish remover on my firearms! Josh
  7. Great deal man! I think the front ends on those late 70's Chevys were the coolest to date. Love the circular headlamps. Reminds me of my old 78 K5 Blazer. Was my first vehicle and that 250 ci inline 6 was bullet proof.
  8. So I think I figured out why the Magnums wouldn't cycle. My dumbass was looking at the settings on the v plug wrong. What I thought was setting one was actually the setting below one which has no notch and lets no gas in to cycle the action. I'll get this thing figured out sooner or later... Still going to go back to all stock parts when I shoot next and see what happens.
  9. Thanks for all the replies/tips. I'll put it back together stock and see what happens. Guess I should have done a little research before throwing parts at it. I'll report back.
  10. Should I put the factory puc back in as well?
  11. Ya maybe I'll put the heavier spring back in and see how that works with the v plug. What type of damage could I have caused from firing the heavy loads? All in all I only fired 5 of the 3 in 00 buck and 5 of the 2 3/4 00. The rest was target loads. What kind of damage should I look for now. Im kinda worried.
  12. I honestly never fired it with the stock set up. When I converted it I put the kit in. Why can't the heavier shells be used with this set up?
  13. yes. i installed the low brass kit. spring, puck, and v plug.
  14. Finally got out yesterday to shoot my brand new just converted saiga 12. I also installed the low brass reliability kit and V plug. I had a variety of shells to try and everything cycled great except the 3 inch 00 buck shell. I was using the stock 5 rd mag. It seemed as if they weren't even cycling the bolt at all. Had the v plug on setting one per the instructions. Anyone else have issues with the 3 inch shells? The 2 3/4 inch 00 cycled great.
  15. Appreciate the replies. I ended up taking the bho out and adding the washer. Can't wait to shoot this thing!
  16. I meant that I just had the factory bolt hold plate, not the modified one. I want to get rid of it anyhow, would a washer or a couple e clips work to reduce the lateral slop? It seems alot of people delete the bho lever, just unsure of what needs to be done to do it. I do have the modified trigger group, sorry for confusion.
  17. I thought the g2 trigger group that comes with the conversion kit was already modified?
  18. Hello, first off I'd like to say these forums have been a great source of info and help for my Saiga 12 conversion done just yesterday. First time doing this and it took nearly ALL day, lol. My question is concerning the omission of the BHO piece and spring. I didn't order the modified BHO with my conversion so I got rid of it completely. I installed the tapco conversion kit from CSS with the tapco g2 trigger. Is there anything I should have modified at all with the omission of the BHO? I've searched and found info on washers around the hammer pin, etc. Just wanted to know if I needed t
