    I was just thinking about when I was a garbage man for four days. It was rough. After having to load a roach infested bloody mattress into the hopper I called it quits. Money was great but I truly hated the gig. It was a learning experience that gave me a whole lot more respect for garbage men. Have you ever had a job you just hated?

    Do you still have it? Mine was a Remington Sportsman 58 16 gauge shotgun that my Grandad gave to me some 30 years ago. I was ten. I occasionally dust it off to go break some clays. Grandad would be happy.

    I always run patches of Hoppes #9 first. When I'm satisfied with the cleanliness of the bore I then run a dry patch to mop up the excess Hoppes. I then run a patch with a very light coat of oil. I don't mess with any other variants of Hoppes either. #9 only for me. If the gun isn't crazy fouled up I use Ballistol only.

    I never get much of a return by choice. I have it set up that way because it irritates the shit out of me knowing Uncle Sam is playing with my money. Now if they paid interest on the money they take that is over payed I'd reconsider.

    So now you don't know if the wood will be ok with a little gun oil on it? I'm surprised you hunt with it, for fear of a blemish. I get wanting to keep shit nice, but don't sweat the small stuff. I put an idiot scratch on a day old 1911. It drove me nuts until I came to realize it will eventually blend in with the other blemishes. Best to get the first scratch out of the way early.

    I wouldn't worry about it. If you're using the gun its going to get scratched, worn, etc. It's a tool. Might want to give that keyboard a little dusting.

    Looks good, Sim. I've got 5 gallons of honey porter fermenting as I speak. Got a kit for Christmas, first time doing a home brew. I'm already thinking about what my next batch is going to be.

    I'm thinking about trying my hand at brewing my own beer. I've always tossed around the idea as I love beer, and think it would be a fun hobby to start over the winter. Does anyone here do this? Looking at some starter kits but don't even know where to begin.

    Drug tests piss me off. I have to take randoms several times a year. Im clean with nothing to hide, but its a complete fucking invasion of privacy. If she was too hydrated before the screening it could surely cause a diluted test result. Are any states testing welfare recipients yet?
