1. There are a good amount of front sliding Russian scopes. I have one. I looked into it and I still don't know what reticle I have but it's apparently made in the same factory as the red army's. it's a PO4x24? But it's Russian and barrel side slide so... Believe me they exist.
2. Which scope do I have? And which retical? Got the scope on my saiga 308 used with no paperwork. -It's a 4x24 illuminated -Says "made in Russia"and nothing about Belarusia anywhere. -AA battery model. -Not stark black but its not the spotty light grey either. Very very dark gunmetal finish? -Attatches from barrel end not stock end. Can't figure out how to post pics in this damn forum. If anybody is an expert on identifying these things shoot me a message and I'll send pics.
3. I also agree with what vladtepes said. Get the tapco g2 (at least) move the trigger guard and fcg up and install a bullet guide. Then pepper to taste (with gadgets etc). I didn't even bother doing the gas tube or lower retainer as there are plenty of good looking and functional forends/handguards made specific to the saiga mounting system. Fcg, good pistol grip and bullet guide. That'll improve the gun to where whatever else you do to it doesn't matter as you have a good running reliable well balanced gun underneath.
4. I actually welded a home-made bullet guide onto my x39. My 308 of course doesn't need a bullet guide. But moral of the story is the x39 I have vs. my buddies (tapco stock & drilled bullet guide). Mines more balanced, quicker to shoulder, quicker target acquisition, more accurate (due probably to the new trigger group), and his screw on bullet guide has the tiniest little gap but has caught a bullet coming out of the magazine before. Not a big issue. Just racked it again and finished out the magazine. But mine has had not one problem. Granted he spent a little less than me (under $10
5. Yeah I saw a few "dragunov/psl style" long brakes. They promise medium-high effectiveness and greas looks (if your going for the DMR setup) but they cost a pretty penny and they're hard to find. I plan to go with dinzags brake after I cut the barrel back 3" and target crown the muzzle. I'm not worrying about the front sight because I'm cutting off that entire section of barrel and adding a gas block front sight.

I'd never trade my AK for an AR. I like ARs. I fucking love the ACR.

But... as a sort of torture test I shot my ak every weekend for 3 months without cleaning it at all or even oiling it. Shot straight and perfect every single time. Not one failure.

Try that wit
7. Again, I am looking at AR10 style rifles pretty much exclusively. I do like the the scar heavys and m1a's are sweet ass guns but I'm looking into ar10s. I already have the m1a in mind that ill get if and when this Obama shit-face decides to leave our guns and rights the hell alone. I want to hear from people with AR10s. My question is that of price vs accuracy. Thanks dpms guys for chiming in. The AP4 is one of the dpms models I looked at and though it has close to everything I want they generally come in 16" bbl. and I'd like the velocity of at least an 18" bbl. though the action and ge
8. Yeah the g3 and m1a are both within my range but the m1a like I said above for a stock that will add the type of accuracy I want (the accuracy that AR10s all generally have) costs an additional $700. Taking it out of my price range. The G3 is the heaviest of the bunch and unless heavily modified isn't as accurate as the other 2. Though its rugged durability is above the other 2. I have weighed out these options before. I have landed in the AR10 catagory. I love AKs too! My favorite guns I have right now are my S762 and my mosin nagant sniper. I am a functionality based buyer but I also have a
9. Okay, recently I've been very interested in the AR10 style 308/7.62x51 rifles. Problem is I don't wanna drift too far over $2000. I've looked at a bunch of them but feel there's a lot more out there that I haven't even considered. So within that price range what's the best gun in your opinions? I'm looking for: -1moa or sharper at 500-700 yards. -tactical capability (rails and less than difficult scope mounting) -18" or more in barrel length. -price under $2200 -detatchable magazine preferably 20rd -decent ruggedness (I don't expect AK dependability) -1st hand experience with the g
10. That's very similar to mine, what handguard is that? I just have to thread my barrel and install the flash hider then ill post pics. I have a Magpul CTR stock, MD Arms pistol grip, US Palm mag, TWS Dogleg gen 2, no factory sights but either Magpul MBUS or Troy Battle sights (not sure yet), Chaos quad rail, and an optic i like very mucha Leupold Prismatic.. I believe it's a utg quad rail but am not sure as I bought it used with nothing but the quad rail. Not even the screws were included! But people have told me it looks like the utg. But as I have nothing to compare it to I can't be certa
11. I feel as if we have similar taste. Further than just AK in general. Same fore grip and rail combo. And I also went primary arms with my optic. Great sights these guys make!

this is going to be an album for my gun and the many changes it has gone through. there might also be some unrelated pics tossed in here at random.
13. I looked at those and hope and prayed I'd find one cheap but the cheapest I could find was a used one at $260+ship. Where I would love to have that type of optic I just can't afford it. I landed on primary arms, they had a fantastic review set and selection. I haven't seen one of their products get a review of under 4/5 stars. The sight is crisp and clear and holds zero no problem. Thanks for your input though guys.
14. Got the PA M3M. It's fantastic. Zero complaints. From function to ease of use this optic is perfect for my needs. My favorite retical so far is the circle-dot. But the 2moa dot is also nice and will see some use. Thanks for the help guys.
