  1. You're OK in Massachusetts but detachable shotgun magazines are limited to 5 rounds.
  2. I'm still waiting on the Form 1 for my AK. I was going away for a long weekend with my wife for our anniversary and I always bring along more than just the handgun which is on my hip from the time I wake up until I go to sleep. I wanted something that is compact, has enough power behind it and also shoots readily available ammo. My solution was to bring one of my several 1897 Winchesters. I know it's 100% reliable and I've even qualified with it for off-duty use before. I have no problem trusting my life to it. I took some measurements and went to Dick's to find a duffel bag that had
  3. I saw in another thread about the Fuglystick, but I couldn't find one in stock anywhere. I'm considering picking up some tubing and machining my own version of it. I really hate the Galil-style handguard on it now. Thanks for the info. Like I said before, I'm completely new to these.
  4. The issue I think I will have is the original front sight is removed. I'm assuming the Saiga handguards attach to that. As it is, I'm very unhappy with the handguard. So, I think I will do some machining in the top half of the rail and TIG a piece to the bottom of the barrel as an attachment point so I can use the UTG rail. Is this short gas system something that came from the factory, or was it done during the SBS conversion?
  5. A shop in NH did the conversion. They are known for quality gunsmithing. It's been 100% reliable so far. I even had some old paper shotshells laying around and it fed them fine. Here are the pics you asked for. It said this images was too large, so here's the link: http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll204/Hawglegf44/8b79238bd2d87955ec74c850518c7d5d.jpg Thanks.
  6. I'm very new to Saiga 12's. I pretty much traded blindly into one that was already converted. Not liking the handguard they installed when it was converted, I ordered a UTG rail system and immediately found that it wouldn't fit. From the pic in the instructions, my gas system looks a few inches shorter. Is this something that was done whe it was converted to a registered 14" SBS, or are there different length gas systems out there? Just as a side note, it was removed from the NFA registry after having a long muzzle brake installed to bring it back to 18-1/4".
