  1. I know where that one is! Next to grandpa's house! So that's what it was.
  2. I just can't wait for the gubmint to go broke, and then watch their lazy asses scream! "Those who do no work, neither shall they eat." Jesus. In nature, there are no safety nets. You either succeed or get eaten. Call in the scoops! Soylent Green is people!!!!
  3. #9 on everything. Now have a tornado brush, which takes the plastic/lead fowling out quickly. 10 ga bronze brush for the gas block. Military toothbrush everything. Q-tip and pipe cleaner out the tight spots. Trying CLP this time around though. I may try the Froglube.
  4. I have seen this as well on mine. I'm thinking lead fowling as the chips are soft, like lead slag. Ran a tornado brush down my bore and all sorts of shiny chips came out. The bore then had a beautiful shine. But all of the chips were real soft, again like lead. If it were the chrome, you'd see pits left behind! Might be a combo of plastic, lead, and carbon all melted together. The Saiga is a real pig compaired to my other gas shotguns. It loves to hold it's carbon in!

If RWC just got a shipment, then I should be seeing 5 rnd mags at Fleet Farm again!
  6. I think I found it! Ejector rubbing on carrier! Ran a milling cutter down the slot with heavier cutting toward the center of the carrier. Slides like glass now between the hammer overtravel and extractor ramp points. Really cut down overall friction when racking the bolt. Laser was 12" high at 25 compared to the rebatteried reflex. The threads are slightly misaligned as you can see a thin crescent of muzzle at the bottom of the choke and none at the top. Next range trip I'll try the factory plug first, and then try the auto plug again with the bulk.
  7. Shotgun.....standing. Rifle.....prone and braced standing/sitting. Though I will shoot both RH and LH from any position. Airgun.....braced sitting. (out bedroom window)
  8. Went shooting today. The bad: The reflex sight got turned on when I cased the gun, so dead batteries! No matter what I did to the auto-plug, it wouldn't eject Federal bulk! The Polychoke seems to drop zero down about a foot. The Winchester Mil-spec buckshot is a rather wimpy load. The good: The green laser was visible at 25 meters on the white target board! The AGP Arms mags fed really good. Grandpa's old Remington/Peter's magnum loads fed great, even from the hip! I ran the auto plug against the stop, and it won't get the bulk to work. I backed it out for the slugs/b
  9. Local Fleet Farm's are well stocked with AK mags at around $30 each. Appleton has Romanian 75 rnd drums at $200. (CAI import) The drums are too high to touch, but will probably come down. $100 max is my limit.
  10. Locally, I hit 3 today and all had Fed bulk in either 7 1/2 or 8, or both! Universal was scarce.
  11. The FBI sideshot blowup of whitey has him wearing a beard. Both look Turkish or Gypsy. Iranians can go pretty fair/light olive too. Whitey also has an eagle beak Italian nose, so I'd say eastern Roman Empire region. Good bet on jihadis! I'm thinking that this might be a new American jihad group that's still pretty small. They're probably afraid of being stomped out, and aren't taking credit or going for martyrdom yet. The best thing about improvised bombers is that sooner or later their bombs get them! Gaza has "work accidents" all the time that they like to blame on Israel. Jus
  12. Or forget the brake, rethread the barrel, and go for the PolyChoke II/flash hider combos. Built 20 miles south from me!
  13. What a barrel shroud is for......Holding the bacon!
  14. I kinda like the idea Rush had.....All libtards to one side of the country, all conservatives to the other, then build a wall!
  15. Agree 100%!!! Can't strip them for a good cleaning! It took till the 7400 to get the other bugs out of that series. But they still suck!
  16. Roughly the same amount of mass, and about same location as the S12 ports.
  17. I have both the 740 and 7400, and I ain't going to dump them over this. I need the .30-06's for punching out the glass on DHS armor! But I am switching ammo brands!
  18. Totally his port area would be the same as if he had one port drilled 0.166". That's not too bad considering my Ithaca Model 51 has two ports big enough to easily run a pipe cleaner through, and it's piston is larger diameter than the S12.
  19. I was in wallyworld last week, I bought 2 Federal #7 1/2 bulk packs from a freshly stocked shelf of 12. Lower shelf had a dozen #8.
  20. 1983 Camillus (year I bought it). The one next to it was my dad's issued in that era. Motor oil stained it nice like my dad's from that time. Never got issued one as nice when I became a crewchief in my dad's old unit.
  21. Shot about a dozen paper shells through my S12 and only had 1 FTF. Those were older than I am (46).
