  1. No wonder my little .22 that is in for warranty work in Eagle Pass, TX can't be test fired and returned due to an ammo shortage - they can't affor to buy any.
  2. Wow! Just Wow! Excellent work. If you hadn't said it was a cover up I would not have spotted it.
  3. Thanks for the good info. I have purchased an unconverted and have ordered stuff for my conversion project. LOL - I've spent more on the conversion parts and accessory pieces than the shotgun and 7 magazines cost me. Once I receive everything I'll post some pics in a "my conversion" thread, but basically here is what it looks like now.

  5. It's not gouging really if he doesn't have most or all of the supply and all of them highly marked up. They can be found from other sellers at varying prices. He's just seeing what the market will support.
  6. Tell her you want to destroy them, or disable them and glue them to a board in the shape of a peace sign. No wait, she's your sister so she knows how you roll....nevermind. This is interesting, not sure what to make of it; http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/02/daniel-zimmerman/magpul-breaks-bad-continues-sales-to-ban-state-leos/#more-205717 I saw a thread somewhere in which a LEO made a pretty good point. Bottom line was that he was only able to use his duty weapon while on duty. He had to use his own weapon for personal defense off duty. When faced with bad guys looking
  7. Not only is .22LR high priced, it is scarce. I have a plinker stuck in limbo because I returned it for manufacturer warranty work and they are waiting on ammo so they can test fire it to verify all is good before returning it to me. Even they are not getting supplies in bulk or a timely manner. Who woulda thunk that this ammo would ever be scarce. Manufacturers are not very forthcoming with their production plans either. Are they producing full tilt or depleting inventory so as not to have stock if a ban/limitation passes?
  8. Thanks for that info. Yes, I can see that the trigger is moved forward on one (the converted) but I have seen pistol grips on both styles. That generates another question from a new to the Saiga line interested individual. Converted from what to what and for what purpose (what is the benefit of the conversion)? Sorry if this is old news to most. Is this in reference to 922( r ) compliance (conversion to ATF compliant)?
  9. What is the difference between two Saiga 410's that have different distances from trigger guard to magazine release lever? They are both advertised as new from factory, 19" barrel, SAIGA-410:.
