I'm building an Airsoft Replica of a Saiga and its now in a phase where i need to insert the airsoft magazine internals into the Saiga mag and model that into fitting the airsoft body... Problem is, it seems to be VERY difficult to find a Saiga magazine. For reasons unknown no gunstore in the ENTIRE COUNTRY has been able to get ANY Saigas for the past year or so, also no magazines of any kind exept rather expensive drums. Loose spares seem VERY rare. I asked around, local gun-store has no part what-so-ever for Saiga, only 3rd party rails and other pimp-my-gun junk.

I allready have a metal body, steel one to be exact so it can be welded. Im not gonna hunt down a steel airsoft RPK-body, i doubt any are sold separate, its easier to use what i have. Magazine I can make out of Saiga mag shell, quite easy actually. Rivets and pins will need some effort but also easy since none are needed in airsoft gun. The sight in the picture is bit too detailed for me to make accurately, I'd prefer to buy that. It's been proven in many cases that even professional soldiers and police can't tell the difference between airsoft and real gun before picking it up. Im trying to go for a very specifig look to make sure it doesnt look "just another AK" even from a distance. The ranges are also pretty short like 40-50m tops for guns like this... How much do those cost? I wont rule anything out tho. Im trying to limit the budjet since i still need a doner gun and proper steel-bodied Airsoft-guns aint that cheap + heavy internal modifications. No info on your profile so i cant say for sure since i dont know the rates, but thats what similar stuff i sent to the US cost me. No pun intended but i dont want to "donate" just so i can post an add and just MAYBE find one. "i dont like the odds" nor the fact that you have to donate to write in the WTB-section. Found one handguard on Ebay but the seller says he cant ship it OUTSIDE the US. Kinda odd, i buy AR15-parts mostly from the US and no1 ever had any issues with em. Right, i'l just start from the beginning, this may sound wierd... Im working on a turning an airsoft-gun into Saiga 'externaly', for those that dont know these guns, they fire 6mm plastic pellets, just google "airsoft" if your new to it.
