  1. Congratulations, Chile, and Mrs. Chile. Glad all her hard work was rewarded.
  2. 1st of all, I agree all citizens have the right to carry. 2nd, what bothers me the most is the term "homeless veteran". Why the hell does this term even exist while our sorry-assed government coddles illegal immigrants with housing, jobs, welfare, food stamps, WIC et al. Even worse, it intends to bring 10k "refugees" from parts of the world that hate us beyond tolerance and PROVIDE them with homes, jobs, and the same assortment of benefits, all the while ignoring our veterans, defrauding the promised health care to them, and cutting the pay and benefits of our current members of the military.
  3. While everyone is into thanking veterans, (and we DO appreciate it), take a moment to contact your respective senators and representatives and ask them how they allow this to happen: http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/veterans-affairs-pays-dollar142-million-in-bonuses-amid-scandals/ar-CCfegD?li=AA54ur
  4. Good on ya, man. That quality time is priceless. Some men fish their entire life without ever learning it ain't the fish they really after.
  5. I suggest Optima, blue top, series 31 marine. Longest lasting deep cycle, short of Lithium-ion. Pricey, but well worth it. I have 4 in my bass boat, only had to replace 1 in 4 years. They can also be positioned in ANY position, even laid over on the side. I agree with the separate battery for trolling motor, running off the crankin battery you're gonna have a bad time! The lights however, should be OK off the crankin battery, especially if you use LEDs. should they start to dim a little, just crank up & recharge!
  6. LOL, c'mon Stryker, don't sugar coat it, tell us how you REALLY feel!
  7. I can't speak for the accuracy of these stats, but a friend sent me this in an e mail. I find it interesting, if valid. The article led with a picture of a dump truck emptying out its content of weapons turned in. Australian Gun Law Update; Here's a thought to warm some of your hearts. From: Ed Chenel, A police officer in Australia. Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the real figures from Down Under. It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own gov
  8. Yet another chain to add to my "do not go to" list! http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/mo-cop-kicked-out-of-olive-garden-because-of-duty-gun/ar-AAflpTR?li=AAa0dzB
  9. Remember the UN treaty that called for disarming the public? We all said it could never happen, as police & mil would never follow that order. Now he's got his own force, and a fresh new shooting to fuel the outrage. Buckle up kids!
  10. Happy B'Day dude! And THANKS VERY MUCH for your hard work on behalf of this website! It is greatly appreciated, not said often enough!
  11. Talk about striking fear in the hearts & minds of ISIL.......I can almost hear them laughing from here.
  12. He managed to jump on this almost the same day. How long did it take to recognize the guys that dropped the terrorist on the French train?????
  13. The fact this thread even exists demonstrates a problem that is becoming predominate in the country. If you dislike, disagree, or are offended by something, BAN IT! Flags, lifestyles, guns, clothes, whatever. Interesting line of thought.
  14. Feel free to disagree, I really don't care.
  15. Now THAT'S funny, don't care who you are! Capt., you have a talent for telling the story!
  16. Waaay too many these days, when they encounter any difficulty at all, are quick to scream "Why doesn't the Government do something". We'd all be much better off if they would actually STOP. And I am offended that so many are offended by anything and everything. If you're offended, I have every right not to care.
  17. If Obama get his new "Free Trade Bill" approved, he will have the power to enter into agreements without ratifying by Congress. They can only approve/disapprove, with a simple majority, not the normal 2/3 requirement. If said agreement contains a mandate to abide by the UN arms requirements, we could wind up bound by that. Another under the table sleight of hand move to grab the guns!
  18. Well, it ain't really yours 'til you knock the "new" off it, now is it! I'd tell you what I did to a brand spankin new Ranger boat a few yrs back, nothing debilitating, but bad cosmetically, but I still tear up thinkin about it!
  19. I put this one together using High Tower Armory kit and a Green Mtn bull barrel. I have seen receivers for sale on GB, but usually for about the same as a regular 1022.
  20. TAPS, do you know how the military tradition started? > > If any of you have ever been to a > military funeral in which taps was played; this brings out a new > meaning of it. > > Here is something Every American should > know. Until I read this, I didn't know, but I checked it out > and it's true: > > We in the United States have all heard > the haunting song, 'Taps.' It's the song that gives us the > at lump in our throats and usually tears in our eyes.
  21. Lest we forget Here is a genuinely heartfelt tribute to those who have served, sacrificed and said goodbye. Memorial Day is a great time to remember those who gave so much for our freedom. http://www.justacommonsoldier.com/
  22. For those that display our flag, please do it properly. It should be displayed at half-staff until noon, then full staff until sunset, unless you properly illuminate it and fly it full time. For those that do, that would be half staff midnite- noon, full staff noon- midnite. More info here: http://www.ehow.com/way_5398459_memorial-day-flag-etiquette.html
