Yea that was the first thing i thought also. I did quite a bit of research b4 buying this weapon and tht seemed to be a recurring theme amongst the ppl having "issues" with the gun so i made sure i wasnt limping it at all. I think my next plan of action will be to polish the bolt carrier rails and see if that garners any results....other than that imma just run the hell out of some heavy loads. Im quite sure its something simple

When i replaced my grip i tried to reinsert thr factory screw into the fctory Your new grip SHOULD come with it (the grip nut was the "block" i was referring to that lays inside the receiver). Actually just got through installing an ati scorpion grip on mine! Pretty straightforward though...that is, if the hogue is anything like the ati. Grab a big flathead screwdriver Twist the crap outta the screw on the bottom of the grip (ive read quite a few horror stories about the staked screw but mine wasnt an issue at all) Pop the dustcover Remove the spring Replace the block inside te receiver (if your new hardware came with a replacement...not a big deal either way) Reverse the process to install being careful to not over torque amd strip the screw Oh yea...your new grip should co

Im no gunsmith or engineer or nothing like that but just visually judging by the internals design i figure the tip of the gas piston inserts into the cavity inside the puck once a round is chambered...gotta be tough with 1cm worth of play in the actual piston
