  1. I was going to order a few csspecs 8 rounders but I read they wont work with the factory bho installed, and I wanted to leave that in.
  2. Places like Kvar and rusmilitary are charging $100+ for one factory 8 round mag, that's ridiculous. I know they were previously unavailable but c'mon thats highway robbery.
  3. I used the CSS aluminium M4 style adapter on my last conversion and am happy with it but I found this Command Arms aluminium M4 adapter with a storage compartment and was thinking of going that route this time. Does anyone know if the Command Arms tube is at the same angle as the CSS tube, which is a bit high for some people's liking? Any info is appreciated.
  4. Thanks for the response, guess I have a decision to make.
  5. Which internal folding stock adapter did you go with and are you happy with it? I was thinking about picking up the CNC Warrior/Bonesteel folder from CSS for my next conversion.
  6. That's what the shop owner gets for not having steel cages bolted to the ground/wall, sad but true. And he must not have a very legit security system, either that or he could have set the whole thing up, insurance money and what not (clearly ridiculous speculation but still possible). Seems like this was a really easy score for these guys, it should be way harder to rob a gun shop....
  7. I've been wanting to get a bolt action .308 for a while now and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions in the sub $700 range? I wanted to buy a Winchester Model 70 but I can't justify spending the $1,200. Accuracy is my #1 priority for this rifle but ruggedness and reliability are close second, what do you guys think? Any advice is appreciated.
  8. I agree, you don't have to be a Christian to be a good person and have common sense. The churches of the world are just as bad as the corrupt governments, religion is a tool used to control the mindless masses. (I'm not trying to put down anyone's beliefs here, just making a point.)
  9. I bought the Magpul AFG2 (smaller version of the AFG) for an AR I have and found it to be too small.
  10. Awesome rifle, the sight mount looks great anodized.
  11. So I went ahead and removed the BHO and inserted a washer of similar thickness and hole diameter in the front pin on the right hand side of the receiver. Thanks for all the help.
  12. AZG and Road Warrior PM us your address and we'll send you one of our M4 stock adapters free of charge. All you'll need is a buffer tube to go with. Will Now that is some insane customer service! Yea it is, the people/businesses on this forum are awesome.
  13. Awesome, thanks for all the info, I'm still deciding which route I'm going to take...If I screw it up or don't like the end result I'll take you up on your offer Jojo, thanks again.
  14. What is the purpose of the external tab? Would it effect anything if I did end up cutting it flush w/ the receiver?
  15. So if I remove it do I also remove the spring that is resting on the back notch of the BHO (Common sense says yes, as it could serve no other purpose, I just want to be sure)? I would rather get rid of the BHO all together, seeing as it doesn't stay open once the mag is removed anyway.
  16. Cool that's good to know, I didn't have a problem getting the BHO back in but that's only because of CSS's youtube video.
  17. I just finished my first Saiga conversion on my 16" Saiga .308 and it went off with out a hitch. The only thing that's bugging me is the tab for the BHO is partially obscuring the trigger and is effecting the way I squeeze the trigger. I was wondering if it would adversely effect anything if I were to grind the tab down a little bit. I wouldn't grind it flush w/ the receiver, I'd just take enough off to allow for more clearance. Or can I get rid of my BHO all together? Any info is appreciated, thanks.
  18. Good to know, I was 15 in the 2000 ban, a little too young to have "grandfathered" mags. Do you think the governor will sign off on SB-47 SB-53 SB-374 and SB-396?
  19. Thanks for the support, a lot of guys say to move out of state to a more 2nd friendly state, but all my family and friends are here, and I would feel cowardly to run with my tail between my legs. There is a lot of support in rural Northern California for the Jefferson movement, there are two counties who have already voted to secede from California and hopefully Humboldt, my county, will be the third.
  20. I feel for you, I am in very Northern California (Hopefully soon-to-be State of Jefferson) and we have pending legislation that would outlaw the sale any semi-auto rifle, as well as registration and taxation of ALL "grandfathered" firearms.
  21. I can't tell if you're mocking me or not, in any case, the oppressive regime where I live limits mag cap at 10 rounds....
  22. This is my first Saiga conversion, I never would have been able to pull this off with out the help of everyone on this site. I will definitely be changing from "Member" to "Contributor", thanks to everyone for all the detailed info, it was a life saver.
  23. I should have been more specific in regards to FTF, I meant failure to fire. My Mini 30 has been very accurate and functions reliably when using American made brass, but when trying to use Silver Bear 3 of 5 rounds failed to fire, when I put the rounds that FTF in the Mini in my Saiga they went off with out a hitch.
  24. Awesome, thanks for the info, I'll stick with steel casings when I buy Wolf, if I want reloadable brass I'll go w/ Lake City.
  25. I have a DPMS A15 model but I've never shot steel ammo through it, I was refering to my Mini 30 when I said my American guns don't like the steel, lots of FTFs for some reason. I guess I'll have to pick up some Wolf steel and see how the DPMS handles it.
