  1. I use a large ALICE pack and some web gear, I also have Mil-Surp charcoal infused camo NBC Suits.
  2. I was wondering if anyone has any experience shooting Wolf Gold .223 (reloadable brass) through their AR-15. I love steel Wolf/Tula for my Saigas, but my American made guns don't like the steel casings. Is this a new product or has it been around for a while? Ammoman.com has 1000 rounds for $399 delivered, what do you guys think?
  3. Exactly, that's my biggest problem w/ Kapernick, he stole Smith's job and was an arrogant prick about it. I knew he wouldn't do as good when teams had an off-season to game plan for him. RAIDER NATION! (Even though we lost tonight).
  4. Good to know, it won't be my main carry pistol, I use my Springfield XD .45 for that, I just wanted to make sure there weren't any inherent design/function flaws it was notorious for that I should know about. From everything I've gathered it seems to be quite reliable, and with the current gun scare where I live, the price is right. I think I'll go ahead and get it.
  5. 9ers got their asses kicked again today, so much for Kapernick being the next big thing haha
  6. Thanks for the heads up! Ordered a few hundred rounds of Herters .308, my Saigas loves this stuff, I've shot a thousands of rounds with not a single problem.
  7. I have an opportunity to pick up a Ruger P97 DC in good working/cosmetic condition for $300, I just wanted to see if that was a reasonable price and whether or not it's a durable, reliable pistol. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
  8. Thanks for the input guys, I think I will end up doing what I did on my .308 conversion; Get the conversion kit from Dinzag and the furniture from CSS.
  9. Good for you Jerry, there are so many gun snobs out there that turn their nose up at anyone that can't afford the very best and don't have much knowledge of firearms. IMO that type of attitude is really hurting the community, you would think long-time firearms enthusiasts would be more understanding and helpful to the newbie, but instead many "experts" put them down and criticize them for their lack of knowledge. The more informed, educated, and responsible people own guns the stronger our 2nd Amendment rights will be (except for where I live, Kalifornia)! Everyone has to start somewhere...
  10. I have two Saigas I am in the process of converting, one is 7.62x39 and the other is a .308. I've been doing a lot of research and I heard a lot of good things about Dinzag Arms so I went ahead and ordered their Deluxe Saiga .308 conversion kit even though I've dealt with CSS before and have nothing but great things to say about them. I ordered the Dinzag parts yesterday so I obviously haven't got them yet, but I was thinking about getting the ball rolling on my 7.62x39 project and was contemplating buying an entire conversion kit from CSS and was wondering if there was anyone out there that
  11. I own both rifles and love them both, I just ordered everything necessary to convert my .308, I ordered a new FCG from Dinzag Arms, a Hogue pistol grip, AR style buffer tube adapter, and a Magpul CTR buttstock from CSS (carolinashooterssupply.com) totaling around $300. From what I understand the Dinzag Arms has a drop-in trigger that makes the process easier. Dinzag also has a PDF file you can download with step by step instructions to go along with CSS youtube videos. This will be my first conversion, I have watched the videos and studied the process and I'm confident I'll be able to get t
  12. Just noticed what state you're in... I'm about 99% certain that a pistol grip and folding stock is illegal in your shithole. I'll have to install a "bullet button" as well.
  13. Thanks for all the info, much appreciated. I think I'll end up going with the AR-style folding stock from CSS.
  14. I am converting one of my Saiga 7.62x39's and don't want to put a stock on at all, just the pistil grip. Does anyone know how to go about doing this? Do i have to remove the tang or is there an end plate I can buy? Any info or links would be appreciated, thanks.
