Lone Star said before that intent is the key. Obviously not. If you cut your barrel below the arbitrary 18" with the INTENT of attaching a permanent brake, and then DO attach a permanent brake you have still committed a sin in the eyes god (the atf).

Found this on the Century Arms website. They've started importing Sauvestre Slugs from France. $50 for a 5rd box of slugs... This better come with a handjob from a really hot french chick. Link deleted due to forum rules. You can find it on the Century Arms site. The plain lead ones are "only" $40 a box.

FN FAL RIFLES anyone have one here ?
XD45 replied to 86250rrippin's topic in Other Weapons - RIFLES (non-AK based)
Anybody else remember these ads from Soldier of Fortune Magazine in the late 70s? I almost always think of this ad when I pick up my FAL. Just some kind of connection in my brain between the ad and the rifle. -

i was going to say "the one whose tat matches his avatar". That's the picture I made to give the tat artist of course. -
Ok all you 10mm Glock fans I need some input

First time I touched off a round in my 460 Rowland at an indoor range everybody stopped and looked at me. It was hilarious. "Magnum" autopistols are a hoot. The best way to get proper ammo for your hand cannon is to handload. I love that my 45 ACP dies allow me to load everything from bunny-fart barely-major target loads to 45 Super to 460 Rowland. -
Don't say that too loud. The batfuckers will get ideas...

I don't own a Glock. But in my several other auto pistols I never hand load a round. As stated, good way to damage your extractor. -
Sorry for the thread hijack, but since it's been brought up... Here is some relevant information to forward grips on pistols: It looks like the ATF got smacked down on this one, but didn't take it to court so no legal precedent was set. http://en.wikipedia....al_forward_grip Here is an ATF letter specifically dealing with the AFG on a pistol. It says the AFG is legal. https://docs.google....MzNzdhMzUx/edit Since the link requires a Google login, and some may not have that, here is the relevant section:

Wait... what? You "lost" the Galil? Bad poker hand? X-wife took it in the divorce? Simply forgot where you put it? ???

I hadn't noticed it was that light. Now I want one even more...

FN FAL RIFLES anyone have one here ?
XD45 replied to 86250rrippin's topic in Other Weapons - RIFLES (non-AK based)
I have bought 2 cai FALs through the years. My first was an R1A1 (STG) with a non-imbel receiver and it has been flawless for me (luck of the draw). My second was an L1A1 and it was a jam-omatic. I didn't even fool with it. Just sold it as quick as I could. But the DSA SA58 is a different beast altogether. Real American craftsmanship. I'd rather have an SA58 than a Springfield M1A. Not saying it's better than the M1A. Just a personal preference. The DSA STG58 Standard rifles are parts kit builds, but absolutely top quality. Just not 100% American-made like the SA58. -
Good things for those who wait?

I have a yugo sks sitting in the back of the safe that hasn't seen daylight in 10 years. I have been debating this conversion for some time. I can't believe how cheap this conversion is for the quality. Given the demand they could charge twice as much if they wanted to. I have to say I love the look of your shortened barrel. But I like the idea of keeping the full length barrel, and just replacing the launcher with a flash hider. -
The same question occurred to me. The law about forward grips is bullshit (like almost every gun law) but still not wise to play in a gray area.

I was looking at those too. The only thing I don't like about them is actuated in the opposite direction compared to an AR. I like the "push forward to disengage safety" vs. having to pull back. Other than that it's a great simple design. Same applies to the Galil safety. Makes switching platforms a pita. I think Krebs has a good solution adding the tab so the lever can be operated with the index finger. It's still not universal but a simple way to work the safety without releasing your firing grip.

Anyone ever wear a vest with a padded shoulder for all day shooting?
XD45 replied to BOB A. BOOEY's topic in Saiga-12
I wear a shooting shirt with a pad when I'm shooting magnum loads or using my Browning Superlight with any loads. But then, I'm secure in my manhood. Those who need to feel more manly are encouraged to sharpen their buttstock to a spike and shoot only 3" magnum shells. And if this doesn't cause sufficient pain try holding the muzzle against your shoulder instead. -
Well nobody ever said the batfuckers are consistent. That's the fun part of complying with gun laws. You're always trying to hit a moving target.

I'd say next time you try to rob somebody at a drive-up ATM you should make sure they're not carrying a sawed off 12ga. But seriously dude, you're lucky that bad guys are stupid. If he'd been using 00 you wouldn't be around to post that. -

Why the hell not. EDIT: I'm the one in the sunglasses. -
Rube Goldberg would be proud. Logic says that you never had a barrel less than 18" so it would be legal. But logic doesn't drive the batfuckers, so I'd get a ruling ahead of time. A few years back when the bullshit aw ban was in place I came up with a modification for a folding stock where it was pinned open but the pin was removable. The hinge pin had been removed so pulling the lock pin allowed the stock to come off. Then you could re-attach it in the closed position. So the stock definitely didn't "fold". The law said nothing about removable stocks. In fact all stocks are re

I used to get my Russian optics from Tantal. Anybody know what happened to him? His website is still up, but now it's just information. No more store.

Whatever you may think about bullpups, the IDF are no mall ninjas. If they switched to bp rifles then it was for sound reasons. They dont have the luxury of playing with crap that doesnt work. I want a Tavor pretty bad but 2k is steep for a workin man.
