  1. I was repriming a bunch of 6.8SPC cases last night... Like thousands... it's amazing how much faster you can shoot the darned things than it takes you to reload them! Here's 10 rounds out of my REC7! I love how the jugs get hit multiple times while they're in the air! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CNGua0qQ3I I so want to put a slide-fire on my MKA! Unforunately, it would mean cutting a piece out of the slidefire because the trigger guard is oh, maybe a 1/4 inch lower from the buffer tube than on a standard AR lower... I might just have to see if I can find a used one on Backpage
  2. I've got the XDM, 9mm... I love it! 20 rounds at a time of 9mm babycakes! Springfield makes a great gun for the price.
  3. All 3 of my 10 rounder's work flawlessly, as long as I don't try to jam in that 11th one that will fit and/or load one in the chamber first. One of my 5 round mags is jacked, though. I bought a 2 round mag from TAN, too, for goose hunting, and it has yet to fail me. My biggest feed issue since I worked out the problems with my gun is the metal ripping off that crappy Winchester Universal Ammo. It's starting to shoot RIO target loads reliably now, too! $69 for 250 rounds!
  4. Thanks for the safety detent, Anubis! Got it in the mail today. Works like a charm. Now it feels like one of my Barrett's! Good, solid click, no slack in the safety lever, anymore!
  5. You're missing the mile and a half, plus distance, HD... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8965737/Photo%20Oct%2026%2C%2011%2006%2055%20PM.jpg For that, I have the Barrett MRAD in .338 Lapua Magnum! 3 times as much force at 1500 yards as a .308 at 500, according to the last American Rifleman! For intermediate range, the Barrett REC7 in 6.8SPC... Got the knockdown power of a 7.62 x 39, with the ballistics and accuracy of a 5.56. Slidefire stock... just for shock and awe... Of course, the MKA 12 gauge... I think we all agree it's the schizle... And the Springfield XDM...
  6. Thanks guys! I'm envisioning an entire truckload of pumpkins and about 5 lbs of Tannerite next weekend... I made up a few .308 API rounds for my AX... thinking one of them has a date with a full propane cylinder once the lake freezes over at my friend's house! Stay tuned!
  7. Here's one with my MKA we did this afternoon. I'm starting to really dislike that Winchester Universal ammo... twice during the filming the metal came off a shell and left the plastic in the chamber. Still managed to make the pumpkin disappear! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiI0we-U310
  8. Ever sent a big mud bogging tire 200 feet in the air? We have: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPknUUJZt5Q Ever wonder what a 338 Lapua Mag will do to a 5 gal bucket full of water? Got that answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeYTYHKJY4Q
  9. Lol! Probably the same dude who invented duct tape!
  10. When people ask me why I moved to the US from Canada, my answer is simple... the 2nd Amendment! Oh... and I used a black hose washer on my forend and cranked it down hard. Worked like a charm!
  11. I don't date girls unless they pack heat, lol! Unfortunately, they all seem to kick my @ss shooting pistols! When they do it with my own gun, I just go grab my Colt and shoot 30 rounds in a softball sized group at 200yds and ask 'em if they want to try it!
  12. It looks like the factory one... The powder coat is different.
  13. I bought the gun from Joe Dirt, on this forum. He said he only put 50 through it. This is consistent with his posts. I put less than, but close to 200 through it. Seems like a lot of wear for 250 rounds. I have a Barrett REC7, and a Colt Match Target with several hundred... well, probably thousands through them, and neither one of them have any like issues. I will set to finding my dremel tool later today and see if I can get a box of Rio's run through it after that. Thanks! The next fix is the safety selector switch. It's all flopping around and loose. I went to whack a goose
  14. OK... I figured it out. The hook on the hammer that interlocks with the hook on the trigger mechanism (which, I believe is to keep it from going full auto) is worn, and there was a burr resulting that kept the hammer locked back, even though the trigger was released, until the bolt was pulled back. See pics. I filed off the burr, and lubricated it. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8965737/IMG_1413.JPG https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8965737/IMG_1415.JPG Also, I noticed that the bolt is catching on the inside of the upper receiver. If I hold the receiver upside down, and pus
  15. No, I was using Winchester and Remington loads that I'd never had a problem with before. After looking at it, it seems that something in the hammer mechanism is gunked up enough to stick it just long enough to keep it from locking back in the microsecond that the bolt slides back and forth. If it's ejecting the shell, the bolt is sliding twice as far back as is necessary to cock the hammer. I'll have to take it apart and give it a good cleaning and go from there.
