Thanks for the comments Doc .......I am happy with the Thug : I will feed it Buckshot and 3" shells and it will be fine . The Saiga on the other hand is going to be sold - I am done screwing around with it .
-
No , at least if by 3 you mean 3" shells . I'm back from the farm and the results with my Saiga 20 were poor . I could not get the mags to seat at the right angle in the gun to make them perform . I have decided that for a gun designed to be a battlefield weapon - mine is far too finicky and temperamental to rely on . I'm selling it

$675 is good if you look back ; but 800-900$ is more realistic

I got my three 20 ga. shotguns ready to rock . Saiga 20 , Mossberg Turkey Thug , and the H&R/NewEngland Pardner Pump . The extended mag tube on the H&R ( 8 + 1 ) is made for the Turkey Thug but fit on the H&R mag tube . But the follower that came with the gun is slightly bigger then the other cloned pieces and the Remington 88 and all the other follower cups slip right thru the H&R's pipe ......... I need a custom made "fat " follower plug for my H&R. The Thug is going to have to run on expensive Buckshot or it will stovepipe on any cheap shells . The Sai

Yup, real exciting! Funny too! (sarcasm) i think it more correctly defined as ferociousness I'm takin my Saiga 20 ga custom stock and all down to the farm and aim to shoot more then 100 rounds of #3 bucksot - if it don't run right on Remington Express 20 pellet shot ; then I reckon I'm ready to sell @ $1000
-
yes, great timming in that you did not sell quickly and stand to gain by it . if the price jumps to a grand or more I will sell mine too . I have a thousand into the gun
-
........that commercial is a hoot , still laugh every time I see it
-
at least that what I read in another thread .......... now maybe we can interject some excitement into this Forum !!
-
disappointing isn't it ? Maybe now that the Pres. has banned Saiga's - we will get a tad more activity here on this very lonely Saiga 20 forum . perhaps if you were more specific in what your intent was/is .......... are you looking to sell ? want to buy ? or just curious as to value ???

Thanks csspecs ..... I did get the plastic 3" mag with the gun ; but it holds a mere 5 rounds and I really want to use my csspecs 8 and 10 rounders . I just got a case of Remington Express #3 Buckshot at a great price . ( .60 cents a round ) Next week I'm headed back to the farm to try them out . Surely they will run fine in my Saiga 20 .......and I sure hope they cycle in my Mossberg SA-20 Turkey Thug as well .

AA re-cvrd: I am with you ; my gun is for self defense and I would use full powered shells for that - but practicing and target range shooting is expensive @ a buck a round so I was trying the cheap stuff to save a few dollars . I am now convinced that I will feed the gun what it shoots reliably , and that would be high quality Buckshot and slugs . I was pretty disappointed that the RIO Buckshot would not fit in my Csspecs mags . Not the mags fault , they are designed for 2 3/4" shells and the stinking RIO shells are NOT . They are just a hair short of a full 3 " shell - same thing with

I am glad you posted , as one of my 8 round mags from your company is not functioning right - it seems to have the follower jam and stick ...... can I send it to you folks to have it checked out ?
-
I got down to the Farm to try out these slugs and was surprised to find out they say 2 3/4" on the shell itself -but they are 3" long !? whats up with that ??
-
Well I finally was able to shoot my 20 ga down on the farm . I had had it worked on by Cobra and had high expectations ! It ran great on 3" Turkey loads on the #1 setting in the 5 round plastic mag that came with the gun ......but from then on the party was over . The Rio Buckshot that sez 2 3/4 " on the shells did not run - they are more like 3" long - not 2 3/4 ; and my shrapnel slugs that say there 2 3/4 " were also 3 " long ...... not sure whats up with that , but they also say 2 3/4 " on them . They ran fine on #1 in the 3" mag as well . Everything else would not cycle without stove pi
