  1. I'll trade you a factory synthetic hand guard for your wood. I'll even pay shipping both ways.Just let me know.
  2. Hand drill??? Hand drill!!!! Blasphemy! I figured I could get away with a hand drill for most of this conversion. However, I've got a small drill press (and a new vice ) that need to justify their existance... I'm hoping to do the PG and stock conversion this weekend. With any luck, the guide will be here sometime next week, and I'll be shooting the week after. Yeah, hand drill. I have a drill press and vise but they are out in my shop and it was late. I was in my liveing room with the guide in one hand and the gun in the other. And it was only one hole.
  3. I ordered the feed ramp just so I could buy a milling vice for my drill press Even though is seems intrusive, there's no reason you couldn't remove the feed ramp and return to using stock magazines (at least not one that I can see...). It only takes about 10 mins. to install Danzigs feed ramp using a hand drill. Dont forget to lock-tite it in after you test for function. And I also used a dremel to make my factory mags work with the ramp(about 5 mins. a piece).
  4. I just got back from shooting my converted .223.I was about 10 rounds into a 35 rd. galil mag when I noticed some extreme flash.First I thought it was muzzle flash but after a few more rounds it appeared to be coming out of the top cover. Is this possible?I was using wolf ammo and was the only one at the range so im not sure where it was really coming from. Thanks in advance for your help.
  5. Has anyone tried to convert galil .308 mags? How hard could that be?I know they are only 12 rounds but thats 4 more then the saiga. And you can find them cheaper then saiga mags.
  6. I had problems with these shells not extracting also. Then the next shell would try to load behind the empty shell and deform the plastic on the new shell.Everything else I've shot worked just fine.
  7. Just wanted to say that last Friday I met Dinzag in person to buy a bullet guide for my .223.I installed it right away but didn't get to try it out until today. It works flawlessly.Very nice product from a top notch guy.He spent about a half hour talking guns with me and even went so far as to invite me back to work on some of my projects. We need more people like this in our sport. Thanks Dinzag.I just bought a .308 and will be talking to you again in the near future.
  8. Just wanted to update the way my saigas are turning out.The .410 is done except for more mags. The .223 is getting a Dinzag bullet guide and galil mags next weekend. Thanks for looking.

  10. Here's my second post with my first conversions. The .410 was first then the .223.I am waiting for thumbhole stocks like Indys for both, so the ones on them now will be changed soon. I have been reading the post on this site for awhile and think you guys are great.Willing to help newbies out with info and tips, thats awsome. Thanks
