  1. Problem solved! I looked up some vids on how to remove the gas tube and sure enough...there was a cleaning patch stuck in there. I feel like an idiot. I should have stripped the entire rifle down first before shooting (especially with it being a consignment gun). Time to go shoot. Thanks gentlemen for the responses.
  2. Hello. New to this site and new to Saigas. I bought a Saiga 308 on consignment for my birthday. I took it out to the range twice and both times the same result. It would shoot the first round but the bolt failed to return to battery. It looks like it has another 1/2 - 1" of forward travel to go to complete the cycle. I'm not familiar with this system so I can't really tell what's prohibiting the action. I was able open up the receiver cover and pull out the bolt and return everything back into place. 2nd range trip, same exact thing. Any ideas? Also, where can the rifle be sent for repair?
