  1. Great info all. Makes me feel less worried about it.
  2. It is a weapons ban masquerading as a sanction. Bans have to have a starting point, in my mind this is it. Just glad I got mine beforehand.
  3. Ok one last question today, promise. I've been looking at the show off thread to about half way point. My question is that some have what looks like an extra pinned piece on the left side of the weapon. Just opposite the charging handle, on the other side. Most look like they are stamped and have what looks like a raised "t", low tail, long horizontal T. Like this one Anyone able to identify what that is?
  4. I was just curious cause I live in a part of the country that is both close to the coast (salt) and is constantly humid. I keep a desiccant in all my range bags and safe and it helps, a lot. I just love my weapons so much and all but this one are SS or blued this will be my first experience with raw gun steel. I have a background in functional (hate that word, tossed around to much in that field) carbon steel swords and the idea of unprotected steel, polished or not, worried me. Anyone ever hear and more importantly utilized a baked spray on teflon coating to lessen the chance. From what I've read it serves a dual purpose, it lessons the likelihood of rust but it also is a natural lubricant that gets better as it heats and experienced friction. Anyone done
  6. Great ideas all. I would say they aren't modified but I can't garuntee. However I will try the boiling water treatment to see if it helps. Funny thing is now that I asked the question I can't repeat the issue after 20 tries...so maybe just posting about it fixed it. Prior to that it was very other time I reloaded it with rounds and cycled it. Thanks again for info
  7. Just wanted to start out with congratulating the forum and all members in making such a comprehensive forum. Now before I ask my question please know I did search and and didnt see a question related to the stock mags, only aftermarket. I also saw the most common questions asked reference in "lots of new members" and mine wasn't there. That said I have what I can only assume is a commonish problem for aftermarket clips but not so much for the stock clips. I just purchased a converted Saiga (converted, quad rail, etc. lots of extras). But it was used, but I know for a fact the seller us
