  1. I was watching the news last night, and they mentioned some of the guns that the Chattanooga jihadist had with him. My ears perked up when I heard them say Saiga 12.
  2. Is there any markings/info that says what gen mag it is? I have about 4 new 12 rounders, and about 4 new 10 rounders I bought within the past 60 days - do these have the newer spring? Is there any way to tell by the bar code or other label info? Can they be exchanged for the Gen II if they have never been opened? Thanks, Steve
  3. Best bet are Molot OEM 5, 8, and 10 round magazines - but they are expensive. Some people have good luck with SGM, and others do not. I heard of some issues they had with the mold machine, and I think the follower was not working as designed, and I think they swapped them out for the owners with issues. I haven't had a chance to try my batches yet.
  4. I have been watching these for a while - since I got my Vepr 12. Can't wait to pick one up. Maybe there will be a prototype at the SHOT show? Facebook page they said "maybe" with a smile face when someone asked about the drums. Not sure what that meant - but it would be bad to say maybe if you got bumpkis to show. I am taking that message as a positive sign.
  5. I ordered 2 to try them out. Currently have 2 Molot 5's, 1 Molot 8, 1 Molot 10, 3 SGM 10's, 2 SGM 12's
  6. Won't BHO just add that new company to the banned list? He's got a pen and a phone ya know!
  7. I bought the OEM Molot lower hand guard with the Picatinny rail and lower foregrip from LegionUSA when they were in stock. Same material as the stock firearm, and it's made by Molot so it should be fine. I think the lower foregrips are still available, but the lower hand guard is out of stock. I also picked up the GK-01 muzzle brake from Legion as well, but the price has dropped from 180 to about 139 if I remember correctly.
  8. Any updates? Basically replying to subscribe to this thread. I just got my VEPR in from Classic after the importer got the stamp of approval from OFAC/State Department
  9. I picked up a factory 5 rounder on gunbroker, and just bought the 8 and 10 round from Legion.
  10. Classic Firearms has some (at least at last check this morning) at $979 because the shipment was finally released by Customs/Secretary of State/OFAC. Probably won't last long there either. http://www.classicfirearms.com/vepr12gashotgun-1
  11. I am looking forward to picking up 1 or 2 of the drums when they become available. I just placed an order with CSS for a SGM 12 round and a 10 round, and I signed up to be notified when they have the drums in stock. I am glad they are taking their time and not rushing an unfinished product out the door. I don't mind waiting at all for a quality product.
  12. Sounds like a good service. From what I understand, you are not supposed to use low brass ammo in the VEPR12 - it's in the manual somewhere. Stay away from bird shot, and low FPS loads. I am new and just learning, but certain brands of ammo do not work well, and there is a brand sold at Walmart called Suprema that is inexpensive and works well from what I have read, while certain loads of Winchester have issues.
