  2. I am self employed and have had an auto body shop business since 94, also do excavating, home repairs and real estate investment.
  3. JLPreban I am a plinker 47%. Thanks for the test!
  4. Everyday is a gift no matter how bad it is. I am sure you are thankful for everyday. Thanks for the kind words. Those are great pics. Hopefully you are back home now.
  5. Thanks for the kind words guys! She did have alot of fun that day! My sister was 34 when she passed, maybe this can inspire all to remember life is way to short and lets make the best of each day. You all have been great on this website!
  6. This was taken in August of 2005, me and my sister. My sister was sick with cancer in the pic and has since passed away but she enjoyed our trip to the range!
  7. Here are pics of my recent conversion. I wanted to get as close as possible to the look of a real AK so on top of the basic conversion, I added an original trigger guard, original gas tube, original ribbed dust cover, and bayonet lug. I also welded the holes on the reciever and metal finished them so I didn't need any hole plugs and I welded the trigger guard in place instead of screwing it in place.I will be threading the barrel soon and adding a AK 74 brake. Hope you enjoy the pics.
  8. Question....The gas block on my Ak 47's have 4 small drilled holes, 2 on each side. My Saiga rifles that I am converting do not have the holes, should I drill them? Also the gas piston on a AK has 2 rings cut on the end and on the Saiga the end does not have any rings machined into it, why is this? Any info. would be appreciated. JLpreban
  9. Feed ramp, which is easy I pulled it off and lower handguard retainer from Dinzag http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=13403 FCG retaining plate http://www.midwestarmory.com/page5.html I would think that plugs would be better than welding in case you would want to/have to go back to a different configuration. (I'm sure others will chime in here) Should be able to spotweld the trigger. all of that was for the x39 I'm not up on my .223 info Thank you very much for the helpful information. I will go with the plugs and spotweld the trigger guard. I will contact Dinzag for t
  10. I am getting ready to convert my Saiga 223 and a 762x39. I will be doing the work myself, I have an AutoBody/Fabrication shop. What needs to be done to add a small front handguard (Galil style, etc.) Where can I buy a FCG retaining plate so I don't have to use the binding posts. The extra holes in the reciever, can I weld them instead of using plugs? Can I spotweld the trigger guard on instead of riveting or bolting? Do I need to add a feedramp and where can I purchase one?How difficult to do? Thanks in advance! JLPreban My collection: Romanian AK, Oly Arms AR 15, 2 Tec 9's, 2
