  1. I was going to ask "What's wrong with factory mags" but it seems everyone is sold out. Is that is your issue?
  2. That was the point to my question. If B&P target slugs cycled my gun I would shoot those all day. Then I suppose you need to find out what flies truer out of your gun. Faster and heavier never means more accurate, unless your gun likes that load. A lighter, slower round on target is always better that a heavier, faster miss.
  3. 7/8 at 1300fps is definitely less than 1oz at 1560. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1836118320/fiocchi-high-velocity-ammunition-12-gauge-2-3-4-1-oz-aero-rifled-slug
  4. I haven't tried those but I need full power slugs for the spinners. Timing 2-3 slugs hits at 75yds on a MGM Spinner is much harder for me than 1 good hit.
  5. Well you have Starlight 3 gun. Pretty jealous of that.
  6. It's not that I don't want to, its that slugs are hard to come by locally. I guess I could order online 10 of each and then order 10 more of what I like to zero. Other than Cabelas a lot of places won't ship here either.
  7. While this is all true in Trooper division at Ironman I can bring as many guns as I want out onto a stage. I usually bring a birdshot gun and a slug gun. This year I had a race 1919 and a stock 1919, that worked well. Next year I will do a drum fed Vepr 12 and a raced out 1919. Low recoil stuff is great for steel but for the spinner they really need to be done in one hit. I will be on the look out for some accurate 1500fps stuff. Maybe some Slugger High Velocity. Thanks for the tips.
  8. Currently, I am shooting full power 1410fps Rio slugs and getting 5" groups at 50 yards. Yes, I could buy 10 different brands and find what shoots best but that would be difficult and expensive (Testing and zeroing). Hoping the rifled choke will squeeze my group down to maybe 3" at 50 yards. The 75yd slug spinners at the MGM Ironman kick my butt every year. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/317252/carlsons-extended-rifled-choke-tube-browning-invector-winchester-win-choke-mossberg-accu-choke-weatherby-multi-choke-12-gauge-black
  9. $5.87, I wish. This is CA. I have to mail order. $95 a case at Cabelas. Minus the $2 a box. At $5 a box I would shoot them all the time. http://www.cabelas.com/product/shooting/ammunition/shotgun-ammunition%7C/pc/104792580/c/104691780/sc/104567580/winchester-reg-aa-shotshells-150-per-case/731068.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fshotgun-ammunition%2F_%2FN-1100191%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104567580
  10. Sure, you get what you pay for but I can't afford to practice with $9 a box ammo. AA are for large matches only.
  11. Thanks for the info. I wasn't lubing the piston because I figured it would burn off right away. I will give that a shot. Rio seems to have inconsistent velocities. I will go back to Federals. Small discussion over at BE as well. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=228780
  12. I started with a Benelli M2 which runs like a sewing machine. Any ammo, virtually no cleaning, some lube, 3 day multigun conditions, and it just ran and ran. My pistol and rifle run great as well but I am extremely familiar with their upkeep cycles. The MKA 1919 match is my first mag fed shotgun but it seems so finicky. So far it has 1400 rounds through it. Various T&N parts. Stock recoil spring (Reduced recoil spring seemed to drag when stripping rounds from the mag). Mid barrel comp. Light load ring thing. 10rd factory mags. I tear it down every 200-300 rounds for a good
  13. Sounds like a bump fire. 308 can bump fire with a soft shoulder. Have you seen the handle? Did it shear or just pop out?
  14. Might have better luck here.... http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showforum=49
  15. I have destroyed two Eotech XPS2 optics on my 1919. Each one only survived about 150 rounds. The mirror on the top falls off. My Bushnell TRS25 about me through the rest of the Surefire Multigun match and is holding up well. What are you running?
  16. I can only tell a difference on the body and follower. The Gen 1 have a collar stop and the Gen 2 are a taper stop. Plus the black and orange followers have a different front profile. From video 3, I guess I will just adjust the wings more.
  17. The problem persists even after tweaking the wings a little bit. I bent both wings a little left. Even happens with AA shells. Can it be a problem with the SAS lower and the second gen mags? My gen 1 mags run just fine in the SAS lower.
  18. What would make it or be considered a "soft" hull? Thanks for the tips.
  19. What needs to be tweaked to have slugs feed reliably? I am shooting Rio 1410 fps slugs. Seems the right side (Ejection port side) of the shell gets hung up on something. If I poke the shell into the port with my finger the round will then chamber.
