  1. "But the gas system, and barrel chop/rethread is screaming Tony's name in my head."

"It's just that Tromix custom jobs are so aggressive looking. People can't pass em up!"

.....................and you shouldn't ever question that voice in your head, Dodge............ Not taking anything away from anyone else, and there are some talented guys on this board,.......nobody's guns look as good as Tony's (IMHFO) !!! :smoke::super:

I'd "second" that...but it probably be more accurate to say I "8,522nd" that. Even then, I'd be way off.

  2. I believe you have to be a contributor to peddle your services or products.

Personally, the price is outrageous considering that its simply tuning the mag. With the tips from the forum alone I tuned mine to not FTF or FTE.

I've never seen any service out there that matches "tuning" with what the original cost for the product is .

I "suppose" you could itemize your work:

    $1 piece of chalk

$49 knowing where to place the "X".

Now granted, "absolute" reliability is nice and all that. But you'd probably make more money buying the AGP mags in bulk and then selling them as "tuned" mags for like $75 or something. At the current rate you have...personally...I think you're losing more business that simply tuning mags (if you were to undertake other endeavors, most people remember this sort of gouging. Then again, justification is all a matter of perspective -so I do wish you good fortunes).

not to mention, they do the whole keep a copy of your drivers license in file.

    OH WELL~!!!!!

  4. Yep... just like a galil type setup. Essentially the selector is joined to the safety lever. The selector and safety become one piece, and pivot/rotate together.

This is important when you have a stock that folds to the right...perhaps even underneath in some cases. Less fumbling.

Left hand folding isn't so much an issue since you have full access to the safety....but again, less hand movement is good.

Always nice to see that on an S12.

Anything that keeps hands from moving to different positions is a good thing.

    Nice job on it :)

  5. :)

I was just getting ready to do so, when this post made me change my mind. Go check out the Tromix website. It's one of his standard conversions.

Or go look on ARF.com in the Georgia section. Photos are posted there.

Now now... don't let a little forum fun change your mind. Its a semi-common event / ritual around here to check out how people configure their guns.

I know the site well. I have a couple S12's...one being a Tromix of course. :)

  6. Is that through the sharkbrake?

I shoot mine all the time and the flash looks different (granted its not an SBS). Can't tell from the pics if you have one on there.

(PS: lol...kick ass photo of the shotshell flying through the air up there too)

  7. who cares. shouldnt let them write the gun laws.

all I know about politics without getting this thread off track, is Im voting for rudy.

    Ron Paul.

Safest bet for our rights -hands down. Period. Dot.

I don't like Rudy and his views. To each their own and I'll preface the following by saying -I respect your vote.

However, without getting too political either... it'd be real good to research Ron Paul. Seriously. Research him on YouTube and his remarks from the recent debates. He won them from all polls considered -even the MSNBC poll.

But yet he's supposedly unheard of (IMO, censored by main stream so they can shovel different agenda to you).

    Regardless, he's got my vote.

As for the Russians. Heard it was for military contracts. I don't see them limiting the exports to here because its good money. If anything, they're saving on shipping for right now.

  8. +1 for truth in advertising as they say.

Good to see the development process standing behind the postives and the negatives you have.

Im just down the road from you Mike. I'll make a trip up that way once you get a full version working and help shoot the vid etc. Got an idea for that front catch.

    Where were you shooting at?

  9. I prefer the lawman buck now since I fixed my agp mag issues. Essentially the stats (1290fps) and having 12 pellets in front of that power is a plus.

But to be really honest...I like the brands that come in boxes of "10". Not 5, not 15.

Federal and sometimes Winchester slugs come in box of 10, so thats nice.

  10. Nobel Sport Law Enforcement Buckshot...

    12 gauge

    2 3/4

    1290 FPS

    00 Buck (12 pellets)

    Based on Tony's numbers:

    19" 1411fps

    13" 1324fps (-87 from a 19" already factored in)

    7" 1131fps (-193 from a 13" already factored in)

    You should be getting

    19" 1290

    13" 1203 (-87 from a 19" already factored in)

    7" 1010 (-193 from a 13" already factored in)

....Now if tony can get the specs on the Silencer muahahah... that = subsonic (about 1120 fps). A silencer actually increases velocity a little bit since it is longer, but if its close to 1010 (or less with different brands that clock around 1200 or less starting stat) then its possible I think.

    Interesting thoughts though.

  11. Yes.

After removing the gas selector/stopper, remove the bolt and take a cleaning rod and push it down the gas tube. Feel down in there to ensure the tip doesnt catch on a lip or anything.

Just smack the end of the cleaning rod with something of mass to tap out that piston (no worries...just smack it out).

Clean, scrape, and otherwise make it smooth again.
