  1. LOL I shot it before I even left the gun store (they have an indoor range). How's that for not waiting? (mine isnt an SBS...just said I would post the pics earlier in this thread on my new Tromix -and so I did) I'll get some close up pics of the quality work. I have a good camera and will make them really big for ya. Of course, each S12 will be likely different (options). For me, I'll put up pics for the: Receiver Tromix side folder Shark Brake Krebs Sights Conversion quality. Likely later on or Saturday night (if I clean it in time =going shooting again).
  2. I did.... on the previous page (my 100th post too WOOHOO ) (its all about the Zombies lol...in fact, that reminds me. Going to go order a couple of those shirts.) (also, I'm having issues viewing my albums and gallery -no permission??) ~S
  3. Yeah... Im REALLY considering the extra 200 for a 3rd S12 to be a SBS -Tromix all the way of course. Must...resist....urge...........must.....close........wallet.......must..... ~S
  4. Well, coming from pratical experience -if you wear body armor or some thick harness/chest rig....then you might reconsider the value of those slightly shorter stocks compared to NATO. Food for thought My AES10 RPK has a custom made longer stock (used on a sample for law enforcement and taken apart -so I bought the furniture hehe). Its a couple inches longer of course. ....but then again, its for an entirely different purpose (counter sniper/sport setup and pulling 5 inch groups at 300....im working on it )
  5. Well I said I would post the pics for my Tromix (sorry for the delay...been busy). All I did really to it was change the forend to the one with the picatinny rail (I had bought that some time ago and well, its an easy thing). I added my Russian folding grip (which is very solid and dependable) and my light. Then I added my side rail with the 2 rail mounts on it. I probably wont leave the optics up there like I said (I got the krebs for a reason ya know) (My EOTech is on my Sig556 at the moment). Anyway, what is really nice about the Tromix side folder is that it tucks very nice
  6. Ummm... since I dont own a full auto anything, I should divert that one to those who know (finding a sear). BUT: I think its not just the sear -but the gun/bolt matching numbers or something. From the sounds of what you suggest, I think that would = prison. Sorry. Not my law. Using an AK as an example: Merely having an unconverted AK and a full auto sear (not even in the gun) simply at the same home/car = prison as well (unless it was a spare part for your already registered class 3 full auto -considering you didnt have an extra AK it could possibly be used in). Even if
  7. Precisely, which permit would that be for the regular citizen? As far as I know, the only way would be to become a Class 2 gunsmith and create Pre-Sample (or was it post-sample). A regular citizen -even if prior service- cannot purchase these types of full auto. Another way would be to find a Full Auto that was made and registered prior to the 1986 ban. Not happening there of course though. Past that, its law enforcement or military purchases (from those Class 2 gunsmiths I think)....and those are department owned (or should be I think). Past that its prison. Did
  8. Some videos on the AA-12 (slow loading for some people probably so give it time to buffer). http://midamericarecreation.com/aa12_videos.htm Frag-12 round videos: http://www.defensereview.com/stories/aa-12...hots_result.mpg http://www.defensereview.com/stories/aa-12/shot%201.mpg http://www.defensereview.com/stories/aa-12/shot%204.mpg Good luck getting one without being police or military (let alone being a DD and a tax stamp for each round like a mortar would be). Heck, due to its low recoil, they even made a "autocopter" remote control helicopter gunship. http://www.def
  9. +1 Ronco comment. LMAO. Reminded me of a time back in the Marines. I go into a Comm Tent and next to one of the porta-desks there was a tack board for various communications. There was a sheet of paper folded in half, then bowed out a little and pinned to the board (like a pocket) with several pencils stuffed inside. On the paper it was written: "The Ronco pencil holder". Man, they sell anything. Field humor at its best. ~S
  10. 1) may or may not become. More than likely though based on consensus and various independent "conversations" (leave me out of that one guys/gals). Rather not touch the drum subject, so lets address the other part of the question: As for the barrel length -what you get is what you get. As far as SBS goes, I wouldnt trust anyone else to do it except Tromix on that subject. Through trial and certainly error there's modifications that have to be made for the gas flow. I'd leave highly suggest you defer to experience Tony R. has for that topic. 2) If you convert to full auto, best have your f
  11. Bearing in mind I live in a permanently Democratic urban district, I appreciated that he granted this: "I also support the right of law-abiding citizens to own and use firearms for self-protection, hunting, and sporting purposes." Always track their voting record when they are "ambivalent" http://votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=MMO51575 (scroll down to "Gun Issues" section). Votes NO a lot. Ok in my book I suppose Dont forget to look at "Crime Issues" as well....some Reps have that section. Some don't. As for John Linder... http://votesmart.org/voting_catego
  12. I think part of the conversion is to add a metal strip to a notched mag (therefore modified) ....so that when the follower gets to the top, it hits the bar and thus engages the device. But I think the good part is that you can use those modified mags in a gun that doesnt have one (nothing for it to engage) I'm probably going to get a LRBHO on my 2nd base model S12 sooner or later...or when I send it off to Tony (Tromix). ~S

    Flashlight

http://www.pts-flashlights.com/products/pr...1-20-40-88-6118 300 lumens hehehe Mounts on the picatinny rail forend just fine along with your grip -and plenty of "accessories" to work with for switches or other mounts. Of course, I would suggest trying to insulate it from the barrel shock as much as possible if you really want to go that route ( I have Krebs sights too). These are designed well enough for shotgun use as well though. This is my tip of the day. A economical alternative to the surefire with high lumen. Anything less that 90 is a waste of time in my opinion.
  14. Yes you can mount to the side just about any of the POSP scopes etc. I personally use this type for my dot sights. Saiga scope mount (on Ebay) Essentially, side rails slide forward from the rear and stop when it reaches the end of the block. Then its just clamp (or tighten in my case) snug. They are rock solid and I have NO issues at all with these mounts. None. If looking for saiga stuff, just search for "SAIGA" on ebay. Much better results. If I recall, I got that side rail from Gilbertsguns. Yes, you can remove the dust cover with no issues while its mounted. Gran
  15. old trick... try using a shoe tree (stretching to resize type) and perhaps leave it in the sun or hot trunk etc. to heat it up a little for a couple days.
  16. My friend down at the FFL called me today (was so slammed at work I couldnt make it today)... He was like: "Hey dude...guess what's waiting here for you?....damn dude...its... ...I mean.... WOW.... dang dude.....its REALLL NICCCE... its here when youre ready". Needless to say huge smile all day long. Picking it up Friday before noon...hope to get some pics up early afternoon. *(only thing I'm going to do to it when I get it is change the forearm to the one with the rail that's been ordered ahead of time, and place my grip/light on it). Hmm.. might put the EOTech on there f
  17. My Tromix came in today Will post pics Friday at some point.
  18. (I took it off the web belt to show it better) Keep in mind, this isnt exactly like a "dump" pouch (no slit on cover). Its a leg bag and attaches essentially the same way, but its slightly bigger. Perfect for the intended purpose I have it for. Have 2 bags on a web belt and thats 10+1 mags. Use any harness for the 5 rounders etc. More or less its more ammo than you really want to be carrying all day long. If you need more than that one bag for "something", then best switch to something else. And yes, its molle, so having one on the vest or pack is not bad idea either to save pa
  19. Well, aside from my harnesses or other side pouches I use for various weapons (RPK, AK74, Sig556 etc)... For most outings like going to the range etc, I just use a nice leg bag. Doubles as a nice drop pouch as well if not in a "rush". I also consider it my SHTF "grab bag". Sits next to the Saiga -grab N go. It holds 5 of the 10 rounders side by side (rounds facing out and away from you) You would think it would do 6, but the floor plates take up the angle down at the bottom. Or it "can" hold 6 of the 10 rounders in 2 rows of 3 each (facing forward or rearward for the rounds).
  20. Pino... chill out. No room or benefit to show E-Peens here. Show some bearing. Who gives a rats ass if anyone understands our belt ranking system and what it really means in comparison to public/private/self schooling. Seriously. Go read your leadership traits again. Posturing is unbecoming bud. Fight the issue and not the person. Same to you Dog. Those who live by the sword -die by those who do not. You'd have to be perfect -every time. They only have to be "lucky" -once. Although you're my "brother", doesn't mean you can tarnish my title. That's wrong and Damnit ~you know it too
  21. One thing I keep true to my heart: an innocent man never quits. I wouldn't plead out a case like that when I knew I was right. I'd appeal it forever and, if need be, draw attention to the NRA, militia, gun club, heck -forums like here for any and all assistance. Why? Because tax payers (of respective city/township/county/state) absolutely detest false arrests where they get to foot the bill. The best example I read up there was the "measure it in court" (in front of the jury preferably). Better to be tried by 12, than carried by 6....(or even railroaded by 3). Heck, you probably c
  22. I think you have the same EOTech I have 512.A65 Just a suggestion: mount it as far forward on the rail (with mount slide part flush with the end of rail) ~Much better visibility. No need to have it point blank to the eye. Definitely a "10" Jeaux E. Mine should be here by this Friday at my FFL. (only it will be longer 19") I went with.... well, its in my gallery. I might place my Eotech on there or leave it on my Sig 556 (where its more effective). Currently I have a 4 recticle selecting type on my other S12 set to a large circle with center dot... I figure its only got "so
  23. Ron Paul of Texas...imagine that *(he's running for President I might add). Go Ron GO. ~S
  24. Sounds like a 640k "Chuckster" series rifle...perhaps even a 342k or even a 352k Anyway, you should find it here somewhere http://home.epix.net/~damguy/models.htm I think the one you refer to is this one: http://home.epix.net/~damguy/642k.jpg
