I bought a beautiful converted saiga 7.62 parts kit without the trunnion and now I am wondering if it can ever be built. From my research it needs a 22mm ak74 trunnion with the stud/rivet that turns the small stem bolt which is a ak74 bolt with a 7.62 bolt face. I can't find any trunnions anywhere and I am wondering, can I switch out the bcg/bolt/trunnion for something else? Would an ak47 trunnion work because I have read that saigas are a ak74 design for 7.62. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
