Hey all, I have a saiga ak47 and want to have a few spare parts around [bolt, bolt carrier, etc.] but am wondering about compatibility. I am thinking of just getting a parts kit but don't want to waste the money if nothing will fit. options at the moment are Romanian, Yugo and Hungarian. Does any know if any groups are not compatible?

another idea, how hard is it to remove the magwell and return it to lock en rock? I have a lot of mags already so i don't want to have to buy more but I really like the factory rifle sights.

thanks for the info, I didn't realize there were so many variations. Is there a web page where I can check out the options? I have been told there is another one that seems to be the same except [1] it still has the original tang in place [2]does not have the mag well and is still rock and lock [3] does have the rifle sights and [4] appears to have the hinged/railed cover.

thats my gut feeling as well, just hoping to be wrong. I have several mags already and don't really want to have to buy more.

Hello everyone, new member here, I recently discovered that saiga 12s were imported with factory mag well and hinged covers. not sure what else is different but my main question is will regular saiga 12 magazines fit in the mag well versions?
