Mac 10 and Mac 11?
user496 replied to Racer 27's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Great question! While the MAC-10 and MAC-11 look similar, there are a few key differences between them. Caliber: The MAC-10 typically comes in two calibers—.45 ACP or 9mm. The MAC-11, on the other hand, is a smaller version primarily chambered in .380 ACP. However, some variants of the MAC-11 can also be found in 9mm. Size: The MAC-11 is smaller and lighter than the MAC-10. This makes it a bit more compact, though both are very portable. Rate of Fire: The MAC-11 has a higher rate of fire compared to the MAC-10. In full auto, the MAC-11 can be a bit more ch -

Firearms laws can be quite complex and vary significantly from one region to another. It's important for gun owners and enthusiasts to stay informed about local regulations, including purchasing, carrying, and usage rights. The ongoing debates about gun control and Second Amendment rights also highlight the need for responsible ownership and understanding of the law. What specific aspects of firearms laws are you interested in discussing? There’s a lot to unpack!

So what do we look like
user496 replied to doug01's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Sounds like you’ve had quite the experience with haggis! It's definitely an acquired taste, but home-cooked versions can really elevate the dish. Black pudding is another one of those traditional foods that has a unique flavor. It’s always interesting how people’s nicknames give you one impression, but then they turn out to look completely different than expected. Funny how that works! -
That’s a crazy amount of ammo, no doubt. I’ve heard about these bulk purchases too, and it definitely raises questions. As for the .357, I’d lean toward .357 Sig as well, especially if it’s being used by federal agencies. It’s more common with law enforcement, and I can see why they'd opt for it over .357 Mag, which is more of a revolver round. Still, it would be good to get more details on that. The sheer volume of rounds being bought is what’s really catching my attention though—what are they preparing for?"

That sounds awesome! I've been looking for a good barrel shroud for my build, and the Torpedo might just be the one. The fact that it counts for 922r compliance is a huge plus. I love when high-quality parts like this also have practical benefits. How's the weight on it? Does it affect the balance much? Definitely adding it to my wishlist

Any Truth??
user496 replied to TO THE FLOOR IN A 63's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Any Truth to the Claim That Artificial Intelligence Will Take Over Most Jobs? I've been hearing a lot lately about AI becoming more advanced and taking over many of the jobs that people do today. Some say it will lead to massive unemployment, while others think AI will just change the types of jobs we do, creating new opportunities. What’s your take on this? Do you think we’re headed toward a future where AI replaces most human workers, or is this concern overblown? It would be great to hear from people in industries like tech, automation, or anyone who has already seen changes happe -
It's heartbreaking to see the increasing violence among young men today, especially involving shootings. While there are many factors that contribute to this issue, it seems that a combination of mental health struggles, lack of positive role models, and easy access to firearms play a significant role. Social isolation, online influences, and unresolved emotional issues can also push some toward violent behavior. As a society, we need to address these underlying problems by promoting better mental health care, fostering community support, and encouraging non-violent conflict resolution from a

It’s always important to double-check information before taking it at face value, especially when it involves sensitive or wild claims. While everyone is entitled to their political views, statements like these can fuel unnecessary tension and are often based on misinformation or exaggerated narratives. Staying informed from multiple credible sources can help filter through what’s real and what’s not. Regardless of where you stand politically, it’s good to maintain a critical eye on all news and claims. Always research for yourself and avoid getting swept up by sensationalism.

Haha, Kyle’s Trial sounds intense! A chaser followed by three shots is not for the faint of heart. Definitely a fun challenge for those looking to spice up their night, but be sure to pace yourself! Always drink responsibly and maybe have a buddy close by when trying out Kyle’s Trial. 🍻 Who’s brave enough to give it a go? 😄

very important fucking topic
user496 replied to Bvamp's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
hear your concerns about the state of firearm regulations and agree that finding a balance between safety and rights is important. The background checks and stricter laws Florida has implemented, especially in the wake of tragic incidents, do seem like a step in the right direction for ensuring that responsible gun ownership is upheld. It’s not about taking guns away, but making sure they don’t end up in the hands of those who pose a danger to others or themselves. Many believe that comprehensive background checks and red flag laws can help reduce incidents without infringing on Second Am -
A friendly reminder...

You're definitely not being a jerk—it's a valid question. Trolling usually involves posting with the intent to provoke or upset people, rather than engaging in a genuine discussion. Sharing a different viewpoint isn’t trolling as long as it’s done respectfully and without the goal of stirring up drama. It’s all about the approach. If a post is made in good faith, even if it sparks strong reactions, it’s part of healthy debate. -
Nice collection! Those STIs look amazing. I'm a big fan of their design and customization options. Would love to see your .45s next—I'm sure they’re just as impressive. Have you done any custom work on these, or are they all stock?

Obama Wants to Shut Us Down

It seems like every time we turn around, there's a new regulation or policy that feels like it restricts our freedoms. Many people are concerned about the impact of government decisions on personal liberties and the economy. It's essential to stay informed and engaged in the conversation about these issues. What specific actions are people most worried about, and how do you think we can effectively advocate for our rights? Let's discuss! -
Shipping a gun
user496 replied to nalioth's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Shipping a firearm comes with specific regulations that need to be followed closely. It’s important to check both federal and state laws to ensure compliance. If you're shipping a gun to another individual, it generally needs to go through a licensed Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. For shipping to yourself or a licensed dealer, be sure to use a carrier that handles firearms, like UPS or FedEx, as the U.S. Postal Service only allows certain types of firearms to be shipped under strict guidelines. Always pack the firearm securely and declare it properly to the shipping carrier. Make -
I hear you on Champion safes, but I agree—they might not be quite up there with Liberty or Amsec in terms of quality. I own both a Liberty and an Amsec safe, and they’ve been great in terms of security and durability. I picked them up from a local store, and they were highly recommended by other safe owners I’ve talked to. If you're exploring more options, I’d suggest checking out Sturdy Safes too. They’ve consistently received excellent reviews on multiple forums, and many people swear by them for their solid construction and fire protection. Definitely worth looking into before you make

Ensuring custom rifle accuracy?
user496 replied to Squeaky's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Sounds like an exciting build! You're on the right track with your questions. To address a few points: Trueing/Blueprinting the Receiver: These terms are often used interchangeably and refer to the process of ensuring that the receiver is perfectly aligned and that all critical surfaces are square. It’s not always necessary, but for a precision rifle build, it can help with long-term accuracy and consistency. Glass Bedding: You’re correct—glass bedding typically involves bedding the receiver to ensure it sits perfectly in the stock. With a free-floating barrel, you generally don't be -

Haha, I love the backstory, Rusty! Gotta respect the classics. A 68 Corvair is a rare beast these days, and it's great to see someone bringing one back to life. That Nader fan clearly doesn’t know what real steel is made of! Besides, if your car can still win a race, it’s doing better than most of the plastic stuff on the road today. Keep on restoring and showing them who's boss! -
Any true scary stories?
user496 replied to GREYLUPO's topic in General Discussion - Any topic is welcome here!!!
Wow, that story gave me chills! It's one thing to be creeped out by something you can't explain, but to hear about those kids after everything you experienced in that basement? That just takes it to another level! I can't imagine having the nerve to go back in there after that, especially with all the giggling and door jiggling going on. It’s like those horror movies where you think it’s just a prank, only to find out there's something way more sinister going on. Thanks for sharing that one—definitely not going to look at basements the same way again, especially with Halloween around the
