thanks guys. Just ordered the Hellion handguard, looks a little more useful and handy with rails on 3 sides.
-
so, how does this thing attach to the short handguard? There's only one screw on the bottom of the handguard, and this rail kit seems to have a number of screw holes. Will I need to drill into the handguard? If you have a picture of a S-17 with this attached, that would be very helpful before I plunk down my $75 for this. thanks for the link and pointing me in the right direction, Bob!

Can I get more information on this kit that you referred to, Bob? I looked on the tromix website and couldn't find anything related to this.

Is there an easy way to attach a VFG to a Tromix S-17 with Tromix's standard handguard? thanks for the help.

Don't know. Tony, if you have time, can we get an official answer? What mounting options for optics do you suggest?
-
That's a good idea. However, I also think that engraving all your conversions (NFA and non-NFA) would be a great idea, especially given the premium prices that Tromix guns command in the marketplace. It'll make it harder to pass off a fake as a real Tromix as well.

So, I think I want a S-06, but replace the HK sights with a mount for a mini-red dot (like a Burris Fast Fire, JPoint, Docter, Pride Fowler, Aimpoint T-1, etc.). I know Tony did a similar mount for Taran Butler's competition gun earlier this summer. Anyway, hopefully this is a modification Tony's willing to do. I'll ask when my number comes up in a couple of months. Looking forward to this Tromix build!

What, you don't like my Wilson urban camouflage SBS case?

I just talked to Melissa at Tromix to put a deposit down on my upcoming Tromix build. This is my second Tromix shotgun, the first is an 8" S-17 (no additional options). I'd like to get something with a longer barrel, and want to add the short reset trigger as well. What do you think about the S-06 versus a 12" or 14" S-17? A 12" or 14" barrel will cost me $565 more than the 19" S-06, plus the $200 NFA tax, so that's a pretty big consideration too. I want this second gun to be more useful for casual 3-gun and clay shooting. So I'm thinking that also pushes me towards the S-06.

Here's mine. Just got the approved Form 4 back last week. Tromix12 S17 with AGP 10 rounders.

I'd like to get a Saiga 12, who has them in stock?
