  1. Not at all. But you sure do suck at telling jokes. I didn't tell a joke, I was joking around, there is a difference. Oh wait, I'm explaining something to a Marine, does anyone have any crayons? I know your security detail job at a major retail installation is a lot more demanding (mentally). I could only hope to reach that level of situational awareness some day....
  2. Last time I was shopping for a handgun I almost went with this pistol. Mags seemed to be hard to find although you can mod a Beretta 92 mag to fit. That's all the insight I have with this gun. Best of luck.

  4. Because they haven't seen your badass cat silencer? That graphic in your sig line cracks me up!
  5. The trash collectors at nuke sub sites have a security clearance.
  6. Snuffy, I'm not much of a bag shooter but I think I'm going to go that route when I start doing handloads for the .308. Vielen dank! Fluid, I've been waiting for him to chime in on this thread and your 5.45 thread as well. I hope he's just too busy shooting.
  7. Sorry fff, your recruiter should have mentioned that to you. Mine didn't tell me that being a radio operator was a high risk job either (former 2531). And to be honest, there was only one 2nd lieutenant that I dealt with that acted like that. I found out later that he was prior enlisted. Which means he must have been one of those constantly crapped on lance criminals. Edited for spelling and piss poor grammar.
  8. Kilryth, Have you got some sort of obstruction in the mag tube? Or is the follower not sitting correctly? This should be a fairly easy fix and may be as simple as a new follower, follower spring, or both. However, my vote is to get the s-12. It's a lot more fun to shoot and mine has been ultra-frickin reliable but I'm limited to an out-of-the-box s-12 since I live in New Jerseystan. It sucks that your range has those restrictions because you're going to want to see how quickly and accurately you can dump a mag. Hope that helps.
  9. What you want to do is stand next to a higher priority target, like the machine gunner, or radio operator, or the goofy second lieutenant making a big show of being the man in charge!
  10. Thanks bigsal I was trying to find that thread because in my opinion sopmod ran his drills a hell of a lot smoother than this kid. Unfortunately, it looks like sopmod took his youtube video down. These drills are a good skill set to have, providing that you first remember to immediately take cover. You try doing what looks like high speed on a range and odds are you'll be drilled full of holes before you even get a chance to remove the mag. Just my two cents of course.
  11. No because when using the scope you're not trying to line up the rear of the rifle to the front sight post. Raise the front of the scope mount to raise the point of impact.
  12. Yes, the M16A4. Fixed stock, 20 inch barrel. We never went with the M4 carbine route as a general issue weapon.
  13. There's a member here (macbeau) that was able to mount an M60 flash suppressor on his .308. I believe Dinzag helped him out with accomplishing that so you may want to PM the both of them to get advice. I've been looking for something similar but in my state we're only allowed muzzle brakes.
  14. NJFG in Rahway had the LCR for $470. They didn't have any 642's at the shop, but I was told high fives for that. While I was in there, I also handled a Glock 36, single stack .45 ACP, really liked that. I need to compare it to a 30 again, as I'd also like a small .45. Dang...that's a pretty good chunk of change. I've been thinking of getting a wheelgun but will most likely stick to the used market.
  15. Klassy just out of curiosity what kind of price difference are you finding between the two?
  16. Two reasons: 1) So that Dinzag could state his side of the story, which was important to most everyone here. 2) So that you could apologize if the thought occurred to you, which it obviously didn't. Instead you opted to delete your posts, thinking that somehow you can undo the past. Only children think this way. Way to man up.
  17. When I get mad I just punch things...you're method looks like a lot of work. I do find it hilarious that the OP called me and bohound bitches but when the details of his "extensive" attempts to contact Dinzag came out...well, I guess we all know who the real whiny bitch was don't we?
  18. Damn Krom sorry to hear that. I was a c-hair away from getting one of those things last week!
  19. Not really sure what more you're looking for tacsat. I think it's been proven that the rifle is a tackdriver post conversion with no further mods other than handloading ammo. Any spread on the target is going to be an ammo or shooter issue, not mechanics.
  20. Semper Fi to you too Snuffy! Yeah, seen the "white elephant", have the CAR to prove it, and the memories of several dead Marines I will miss. I came back with a sour taste for the 5.56 and the Saiga .308 is a damn good fit for me. My M16A2 never failed on me but it was always there in the back of your head...especially if you just spent the last hour riding in a dusty convoy and were now hoofing it. You're not kidding about keeping it tight on the shoulder though. I've shot both the M240G and the M60E3 off hand and they never left bruises like the Saiga does. But both those weapons are
  21. Snuffy gave some really good dope. Anything to dispel the myth that the Saiga is inaccurate is a plus in my book. I really wish my gun club would finish working on our 600yd rifle range. I've been itching to shoot my .308 that distance since I did the conversion. Coils, that member was AKsarben and he damn near put his 223 rounds in the same hole.
  22. The other guys have been pretty nice to you...I'm not. If you're not aware of it, you are calling a long standing and well respected member here a ripoff artist and a scammer. Read your thread title, read the words you just wrote down, and try to see how others might perceive it. In short, flush out your fucking headgear new guy. Your best best is to shut the fuck up, pm corbin, and take him up on his offer to contact Brian on the phone.
  23. So back to the OP's questions... Mofeen, using a rest or a bipod is fine as long as you understand that you are working out how accurate the rifle is by itself. If you dial the weapon in using that support system, it will change once you pick it up and use it without them. Maybe not by much, maybe by a lot, it really depends on you. I will use this on occasion to see how well my rifle groups with a certain brand or type of ammo. I'm not really looking to get hits, I just want groups. Another option is to use the most stable firing position where it is just you supporting the rifle and
