All I have to say is, WTF!?!? I paid over $150 for a Magwell from MSA back in SEPTEMBER 2009! I was charged up front, never received the adapter.... and now MAA evidently has them in stock?! http://www.mississippiautoarms.com/galil-223-ar-mag-adapter-p-454.html Of course, when I go to check any kind of status on MSA, turns out the business forum here has been deleted (of which I understand). I'd like either a) A Goddamn magwell or B ) My money back. E-mails to MSA have remained unanswered. Of course, no phone number is listed on the webpage.

I shot a 3-gun match last week using AGP mags that had been fully loaded since July (left them in the range bag). Not a single FTE or FTF.

That may indeed be the case but it was labeled a 5 rounder.

So I was at a gunshow today and saw the surefire 12 rounders for the first time in person today. HUGE. Waaaay too big! I know people have complaints about using the AGP's in the prone (and I agree) but this magazine is so big that it looks like the kneeling would be hard! Even worse were the surefire 5 rounders--they were easily as large as Russian 8 rounders! I will not be buying these anytime soon.

Here is a picture of all 3. A cut down SureFire to 8rds, AGP 10 and Surefire 12rd. Greg Pretty short but if the AGP were cut down to 8 it would be shorter. When I installed a Tromix floorplate I cut just below the last rib, which would make it shorter than the Surefire magazine cut down to 8.

I use a stubby grip. Very comfortable and doesn't get in way of the drum or AGP mags.

You'll break that fucker in short order. When those first came out, I bought one along with a couple friends. I broke my first and the rest of my friends followed. Not worth it.

7x? You are fucking high. Waay too much magnification for a RDS! The only "budget" magnifier that is worth a damn is the LaRue Tactical "po' boy" special. If you buy their Aimpoint magnifier flip-mount you get a 2.5x hensoldt magnifier (anti-tank optic /w reticle removed and re-purged with nitrogen) for $50. That 7x waay too much magnification or those ebay chinese magnifiers are not worth the time or effort--they are a waste of money.

I made a leg rig using several PRC-127 radio pouches I had around and a cheap-ass molle leg panel. It attaches to the patrol belt I use in 3-gun. Here's the PRC-127 pouch With a AGP mag inserted I cut the flaps off and hand sewed them together and to the leg rig (looks terrible but is pretty sturdy--if the ex hadn't taken the sewing machine ) I also shoe-gooed the entire thing together. I cut a couple of them down for 5 rounders (which I usually use for slugs). It doesn't hold enough to make it through the big matches but works fine for our local ones. The magaz

Looks good. You might want to look into a stubby vert. grip as they do not interfere with the magazine change.

I run a fastfire on my S12. It's been running great, no problems to report. Put about 100 slugs through it and God-only-knows how many shotshells and it's held up just fine (and also held a zero).

Ultimak makes an S12 specific rail--I know because I have one. It's one their webpage...
