i picked the ammo up, she was a little mad because she looked up the price( i did not before i offered her the money) and saw that they were like 170 bucks per case of 250. both cases were full cases, so 500 rds total. i was nice and gave her an even 100 bucks, i felt that was the right thing to do(all i had was a 100 dollar bill).

got lucky enough to snag an EAA CORP imported saiga 12 in factory configuration for 480 today(no box 1 mag). the lovely lady i picked it up from had a scope mount for a 7.62 rifle with a 1" built in ring setup. the scope is absolute garbage, but i bought the mount and scope for 5 bucks extra. my main question is can i change out the 1" ring setup for a railed setup? also, the scope has the same markings as the gun... the ishevsk triangle with arrow on it. the top part where you put the scope is attached via screws, which makes me think that it could be removed and somehow a railed piece attach

i bought mine through k-var. i am not a fan of theirs, in fact, you could say i hate k-var... but they had the best price, with crappy shipping. i have been wanting one for a long while now, and it seemed like the right time to go for it before they arent available. total was 530 with shipping and FFL fee, which is only 10 bucks. other than this purchase, i would NEVER buy from k-var. their shipping is notoriously over priced.

i like that one from cobra. i dont want to re-buy the rivet jig and a press though just to install a couple rivets. can i weld the rivets inside the receiver so that i have the look of a rivet with the strength of one too? i have a welder and have no problems using it on the build if needed. i like the PG reinforcement plate.

its been a long time since i have posted here, i sold my s-12 a long time ago and have been wanting another since. with the recent ATF BS, that was enough for me to order one. so anyways, there are all sorts of cool new parts out there that were not when i did my first one back in 06 or so. i like the DIY style trigger guards, although i hate those slant cuts... they look stupid. i noticed that there is a rounded one that CSS sells but it does not mention its for a S12, only all the other saigas. can i use that on a 12? also, what i would like to do instead of bolting on a trigger gu

i know, sorry for the blurry pictures. basically, there is about a 1/4 inch gap between the safety lever and the trigger. this conversion is coming very slowly, so i dont know what im going to do. i might swap this group out with another rifle and see if it still is not working. i like the G2, i think its a pretty ok trigger.

here is the best i could do... the super macro setting is very tough to take a pic with due to the non flash. i can fire completely with the trigger up... i dont have access to a welder, should i just pick up a used selector?

i put in the tapco G2 tonight, basically mocking it up for final conversion. im testing it out, it fires fine. however, the safety lever will not engage the trigger to prevent it from firing... this worries me a lot, it is a big issue as i keep my guns loaded all the time and keep the safety on... not to mention, its just dangerous overall to not have a properly working safety... has anyone had this happen, or know why it would happen? i mean i know the selector lever is too short, do i need to get a new one?

you would really go out of your way to REGISTER a gun they have no business taking in the first place? jeeze... i guess gun owners will go quietly when they come.

ok cool, i will look for one of those. i dont mind filing to fit, but id prefer not to.
