  1. I've got mine drilled and tapped. No problems yet with at least 500 rounds through it. It was a bitch to tap though.
  2. Because of what jmich helped you with. I would hate to see someone potentiality ruin a big part of a gun when there is a "simple" fix for it. I had it happen on some 15 round mag I built and to fix it I used the AGP mag spring instead of the surefire. I haven't done the fix that jmich found for you yet but I will when ever I get some spare time.
  3. Where exactly is the steel "guide" welded? I'm interested in doing a fix like that to correct the FTF you are describing. Thanks. You shouldn't need to do that fix. The guide he is talking about is: look through the mag well with the bolt pulled back, that part right there is the guide. You would weld more on the back side to make it longer so that the shell won't get stuck on the back side of the "barrel or guide".
  4. I bought a 2 boxes of 100. Won't be buying it again. They didn't feed right in my metal mags I made and just seemed extra cheaply made. The "brass" area didn't seem properly formed and they didn't seem to have any extra power to my shoulder.
  5. I think I'll pass, I couldn't even win that one. I'm such a loser.
  6. You're missing the point because no one here is mass producing. DIY isn't about mass producing. It's about using your knowledge and know-how of tools to fabricate something. So you expect Abdul Al Hussain from Saudi Arabia who conjured his own LRBHO to fork over two cents? I think that Bvamp was just explaining why Tom patented this design. Not that Tom was going to go after someone who made one of their own.
  7. Well the guy got back to me. Its about 6 years old and its in 30.06. I don't want it in that caliber. If anyone does I can pm the number to you.
  8. I copied what he had in the ad. That's all there is. I left a message and am waiting a call back. I'm assuming that it is a cheap scope/bipod. How can you tell if it has a accu trigger? ETA: Welcome to the forum.
  9. Are there any questions to ask specific to these rifles? Never owned a Savage but what I've read here they are great rifles. Should I get this can't find any used ones to judge price off of: SAVAGE 110 TACTICAL, heavy barrel with crown muzzle, comes with high powered scope and; bi-pod rest. $425 obo. Why did he call out that it has a "crown muzzle"?
  10. I've got mine on a Xd 9. Fits just fine, but make sure to tighten down the release before you shoot otherwise you will be picking it up off the ground. You can easily reach the on switch with either hand when griping the gun. Nice and bright light.
  11. My week went the other way. Been drinking myself for a hour now.
  12. 1 of our business members. makes some good steel ones. His name is (going to spell wrong) csecps.
  13. Why doesn't anybody read this thing before they post. Some peoples' kids. Since I've been drinking and it took 30 seconds of looking at this thread. Give thanks to 6500rpms as he gives you something close to original http://www.berettaforum.net/vb/showthread.php?t=50075
  14. Pablo I hope you hit a buy now there all gone as of now. I didn't buy one of these, I already have 5, but man they weren't going to get any cheaper.
  15. I was on a computer at work and didn't blow up the picture. It was easy to see at home how you did it.
  16. Sam Cro (as in Son's of Anarchy?) how did you do the texture, is it a spray on?
  17. Trying to find a house sucks.

  18. Here's a something I found online didn't read it myself but: http://www.alpharubicon.com/leo/beginnershootingtipsbrian.htm Start with a .22. Not much kick or noise. Practice. Practice. Remember you're doing this to protect yourself not to kill someone. Wear ear plugs and ear muffs to limit the noise and don't forget the safety glasses. Get some pepper spray (if legal in your state)to carry with you at all times. Look for a self defense class set up for women. It should help you get some more self confidence and teach you how to protect yourself without a firearm. I'm not say
  19. I got a used glock 17 for $410 total. ETA after Indy below. I also did the build your lower and add upper project. It was very simple.
  20. I had ftf like that when I made some mags. I fixed it by using the AGP spring instead of the surefire spring and I haven't had one happen again. I would still like to do this but I'm scared about taking a welder to my shotgun. That looks pretty good in the last pic.
  21. Will you need to move the gas block back like on other mid barrel comps?
