  1. Get your shit straight!!! They are imported through INDIANA and I resent you downgrading us in Kentucky. HOOSIERS can't help where they were born..... [ I was thinking of getting rid of the impoted by redkneck james sporting good company Back woods KY (stamp). I think the stamp is retarded. Kinda kills the whole imported gun theme. I know thats just me I am very picky. Some of you guys could care less. Thats fine too. I like my guns the way I like my woman plain and flat black!
  2. My carry is a CZ 75 "Semi-Compact" with night sights. I looked for one of these forever and finally found one. They were a very limited production with a full size 75 frame holding 16rnd mags but has the slide of a compact model. Accurate and loaded with firepower. Plus as a bonus all of my mags for my "Open" SPO1 will fit. Potentially I have 144 rounds of 9mm at my disposal.
  3. Bought 4 on Friday and they showed up today via Fedex and I have already tested them!!!! Gen 2 is the shit. This coming from a guy who had Gen 1s that worked.
  4. Jennifer don't fret. I am going to let the cat out of the bag and give you two of my little secrets. First, go to www.whittakerguns.com and check their sight out. Give them a call and ask for Chris and tell them you are looking for a Saiga 12 and want to be put on a waiting list. On average he receives 25-40 in a shipment and I bought one there in December for $425. Second, go to www.unclelees.com and check out their sight. Give them a call and ask for sporting goods and tell them you are on long distance. They are more finicky about how many they get, but I bought a IZ109 from th
  5. Try looking at Mississippi Auto Arms' sight. They have some stock options that add the pistol grip to a replacement stock but use the existing FCG. From experience though it is WAY better to convert. You won't regret it at all.

    Drum -ammo

pvt joker, Spend the money and buy the drum. Quality, Quality, Quality!!!! You guys on the list to buy are in for a treat. Mike can attest, I was interested in the magwell more than the drum, but since I have had the opportunity to try this thing out it is awesome. Anything you can commonly buy at Wal Mart seems to work fine. The fte's that I have seen seem to be from low power stuff or the gun. I have tried several hundred rounds through my newly converted gun and not had a single problem yet. Even high brass slugs have worked fine in my drum. Buy with confidence. Phil
  7. I have been shooting my Saiga for the last 2 1/2 years in competition and love it. I got tired of my "open" remy 1100 choking on stages and have not looked back since. I have two clubs I shoot at and one is a sanctioned club and follows USPSA and the other is just a "fun run" club that tries to follow the rules as closely as possible. When we shoot a multigun match here then I put people in their class by mainly pistol. I personally shoot open, but there are two other shooters that come and shoot open sighted pistols with their saig and I put them in tactical. The saiga is no real advanta
  8. If you read my first drum beta testing post you will see I had to fix my gun as well. I used a hammer. It is an ak of course. My cover was flying off so I sat the receiver top cover with the rear angle on top of a 4"x4" block. You should be looking down at the inside rear of the top cover. I slid 1/16th of an inch off of the block of wood and then "tweaked" that edge with an 18oz Estwing framing hammer! Problem solved. Test and repeat as necessary. Phil
  9. Another 100 rounds of Federal #6 and some Remington #6 Dove loads in a green and orange box. First time I ever used the Remys, but gun never missed a lick with the drum. Shot a few more Remy Sluggers also. Wanted to see what they would do on paper. Kinda weird. Last IZ109 would put 1oz slugs in the head of a target at 100 yds and these all shot 8" low, but I am also not sure if they were full power or low recoil. Oh well! Drum is still awesome.
  10. almost looks like a Tanfoglio LC with those mods. and if you were going to mod the shit out of it, why not get a CZ75 TS? CZ is the original!!! Tanfoglio makes a good gun, but they are built on the large frame! The TS is also built on a large frame. My original choice was the CZ 75 Champion, but they do not plan on importing them in 9 mm anymore and 40 cal is not right for open in this size frame. The CTS built for open by Angus Hobdell would be nice, but is over $2400. By this being a 75 then parts and mags are readily available and cheap. 26 round factory mags for $40 is gr
  11. OH man I just noticed the drum on your s12. I would like to say I hate you but I just envy you. My 2 are still in line so to speak. Id post pics but I used my trusty SX2 in tac class last year mostly but when my s12 was ready I did used it with either the JP 18" wearing a Meopta or the Colt SBR with an Aimpoint and just started using the XD45 with a FastFire. I only have limited experiance with the XD and its cool with 16 round 45 mags. Tnek, Don't know anything about them but AGP is making a mag extension for the XD now. You may want to try them to see what you can get in them. P
  12. Tnek, Donnie "Squirrel" Lancaster is that skinny old dude that is so funny. Hell you should be around him all the time! Also the star will be in play. We always use the star somewhere and I am trying to get him to borrow our other clubs brand new one so that we can use shotguns on one and pistol on the other. We have a nice thread going on in the BEnos forum about it and we have a lot of match sponsors. I lined out the BBQ truck the other day so things are coming together. Hope you can make it. Phillip
  13. Big hammer fixed my Saiga that I just had converted. No oil in gun, fresh conversion, first rounds shot Saturday when I picked this gun up and the first mag used was MikeD's drum. Today I ran another 40 rounds of Federal Heavy Field Load #6 1 1/8 oz loads(High Brass) with not even one malfunction. Drum locks in perfect and feeds from the very first round. I also shot some Remington Slugger 1oz slugs with no problems either. Here is what it looks like on my fresh conversion.

  16. Here is my Multi Gun Setup. USPSA OPEN Class and MOR if I ever get a chance. CZSPO1 with Millet Reddot, Speedsec 5CW Holster and 2-26 and 2-22 round mags. Lightweight AR built from a Model 1 kit and a Bushnell 1.5-4.5x20mm scope on BSquare Picatinny rings. I had a panormic reddot on the rings but never used it. Saiga 12 with T6 stock and MikeD's drum. I have an Ergo grip on order and 5 AGP's. Savage Model 10 in .308 with a 4-16x40mm scope. Upgrading soon to a 2.5-10x40mm Mildot scope.
  17. What do you guys think of my SPO1 built for Open Class? Major 9 with a 172 PF. No S_I guns for me and with my Saiga and AR makes a nice multi gun setup.
  18. MikeD has made an awesome product!!!! You guys waiting for the full production run will NOT be disappointed. Went to my "conversion specialist's" house to pick up my gun today and the drum arrived today as well. It is a bitch to load, but well worth the time. My gun is an IZ109 and I had it converted to pistol grip with Tapco T6 stock and my friend's gun is an IZ109 with KVar Nato stock. Both locked up great and ran. His better than mine since my dust cover decided to fly off. I fixed that after I got home with a big framing hammer!!! His gun ran two full mag dumps as fast as he could
  19. Mike, First of all thanks. From the first time I bought a Saiga til now it seems like you have taken care of any needs I had. From selling me my first high cap mags to helping me sell my stuff when I needed money. Hell you should see if RAA or Russia will let you sign off on a limited edition autograph version. You deserve it. Yes I have already called and thanked my friend. He is Domar from this site and he had already picked a number and then said this number "popped" in his head. Any one in Western Kentucky, Northwest and Central TN, or Southern Indiana want to help and test the dr
