I would buy them even if they didnt work at all just becouse they look cool as hell, I got 2 for the price of one 8 rounder and at that price it is worth a little do it yer self tweaking. And I do recall people here having problems with the eight rounders from time to time.

Usually when I cant decide which gun I am gonna buy I get both, then do a thourogh comparison and then sell the one that disspleases me, how ever in this case you should buy both and keep them becouse they will probbably always go up in value. My saiga 308 is very accurate and is extremly reliable with fbmg mags if I load 18. To get the vepr up to high cap status You will have to get a m14 mag conversion on the gun or a galil mag conversion done which I hear is better but the 25 round mags are like 100$ while m14 mags are reasonable. I have never had a jam with magnum buckshot and that even surpasses my tactical benelli black eagle for reliabillity. However the saiga looks so mean and intimidating with them hanging out I would buy them just for looks!

I got mine and didn't do anything but take a long wooden spoon pushed the follower down to the bottom and up and down and up and down. i did it probably about for a half an hour each while i was watching tv. I had no trouble with them with 3 inch shells right out of the box. Then I found out that I wasnt pulling the but of my gun tight enough to make the light loads function. when i shot from the hip my gun jammed every time but after I leaned into it with it tight it worked great and hurt like a bitch. now I got a strap on shoulder pad chest harness thing coming from cabellas.

I got my agp mags and at first I had problems with every thing but 3 inch shells, just for the hell of it I pulled my butt stock tight against my shoulder and I got winchester cheep 2.75 ammo to work flawlessly, went through about 200 rounds. My shouder is sore as hell I never pull shotguns tight for that reason and thats why I had problems. my gun has not had the ports opened up, Im sure this won't solve all problems but hope it helps.

I think you can use 30 rd mags as long as they are pre-ban... but from what I see on the forum you need to modify the mag or the rifle to take old AK mags. do they make preban hi cap mags that fit in the saiga as is? if not, how hard is it make the mods needed.. and which is easier - the mag mod or the rifle? as you can see im new 10 round mags are still cool
