    Grip Conversion

Here's a link to a web page that I used to do my S-12 Conversion it's pretty straight forward and if you go this rout to do your conversion you get to use the OEM trigger guard. http://www.gunsnet.net/forums/showthread.php?t=216631

  3. Pointer Thank you for the info. I'm thinking of building a clone of this SBR rifle after I get the BATFE's approval. I'm still in the research and planning stage. At first I was thinking of a Saiga .223 as the base rifle but with the mag issues I'm now leaning more towards the SAR-3 to base my project on.

  5. I've ask this before but didn't get a solid reply. Is there a pistol rear sight out there that fits or can be fitted to the S-12 dovetail? If so which one? I might try and pick up a set of the pistol Meprolite night sights and that Meprolite shotgun bead and see what I can come up with. My S-12 is a factory 18.5" w/o the sight rail. What is the size of the dove tail on my S-12?
  6. Did you cut the barrel? If so did you open up the gas ports?
  7. OK I see. I thought you were talking about the plate not the hook. If you make the mod. to the plate you won't need the hook. You can leave the four holes open or you can use four 10-32 x 1/4 button screws and nuts to cover them up (thats what I did). I'm getting set up to do some rivet builds so I might trade them out for rivets so it has more of a OEM look.
  8. Are you sure that you are putting the pin in the right hole?
  9. You can mod. it like this: Or use these: I used the RSA S/H replacement plate and I like the hair pin clips better than the E-clips. They give you a loop to hook with a o-ring pick to remove them.
  10. I also have seen a TAPCO folding stock flex under heavy recoil to the point that the charging handle on the bolt carrier smacked the but of the stock while it was in the folded position and it knocked the stock right off of a S-12. If you decide to stick with a TAPCO stock then the T-6 stock looks and feels a lot better and would be a better choice over the TAPCO folding stock. Integrated gave you pretty sound advise in your options of stocks above.
  11. Heres some links with the info you need: http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fcgremoval2.htm http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fcgremoval3.htm http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fcgremoval4.htm
  12. Did you remove the wire? Heres a link: http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fcgremoval2.htm http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fcgremoval3.htm http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/fcgremoval4.htm
  13. I was afraid of the ACE price until I puchased one. It is worth the price. I think mine was around $165 for the Stock, Hinge, and adapter. And if you keep a eye out you might fined one on one of the gun boards for sell forums for $100-125. shipped. I love my ACE folders!!!
  14. I don't think that it will fit your S-12 if your S-12 still has the scope mount on the side. If it will fit the scope will be to the left of the receiver and not centered over it. I have one on a milled MAK-90 and I don't care for it very much due to the fact that I hit my index finger against it when I'm charging the bolt carrier. I need to extend the bolt carrier handle out and up like the ones on a Galil. Once I do that I might change my mined.....After all it is one Rock Solid mount, it installs easy (no gunsmith needed) and a scope will set nice and low on it. That just my 2 ce

  16. I would like to trade one 10rd and one 5rd Saiga 7.62x39 mag for two steel 30rd AK mags or one 30rd Bulgy Waffle mag. Or sell them both out right for $25 shipped. SPF
  17. At $219 I don't think that I'll be picking up that knife any time soon. But I'm in for some S-12 mags. I also think that I might pick up another S-12, a S-223 and a S-308 when I get my tax return or .
  18. Heres a pics of a Galil/M16 Mag Adaptor. If I installed a feed ramp would I be able to fit one to a Saiga .223 or how about fitting one to a SAR-3? Would I also have to do any work on the bolt?
