  1. AMEN! Thanks to you all! May you come home safe and well.
  2. Welcome to the forum! Plan on spending a lot of time here, it's habit forming. Sounds like you have a fitting problem with almost any standard stock. As hard as it may seem/sound, making your own stock is really not very hard. The wood can be had at almost any lumber store in either 2'' thick or 1" thick that can be glued and clamped. Your existing stock is the pattern for the receiver area and I did mine with simple hand tools. Most of my shaping was by hand with a rasp. As seen in the pic, I added a smal rise (monte carlo style) tjo help with cheek weld for scope. Either way you go, good luc
  3. Welcome to the forum, you'l like it here, good people with lots of help. Thank you for your service, I appreciate your willingness to go in harms way for those back here as well as those there. My Saiga will take any kind or size of slug or 00 that I can fine. Even the cheap Winchester Walmart stuff. Although 3" magnums tend to take some of the fun out of high round count sesions it's all good. The $20 mags you mention are great and function as factory in mine, get lots instead of the 10 rounders. As for the advice of converting your own, I agree, it is not all that hard and you really get to
  4. I think ya got it Hunter, moisture is the real culprit for ammo. If ya seal it airtight yer water tight too. Besides, ya can use the vacuum sealer for longer term food storage too.
  5. Congrats! Welcome to the addiction. Sometimes I hide mine an then go find it again! It jus gets better n better. Keep shootin n grinnin
  6. Welcome to the forum AKA. I tried the "do/buy all the stuff short of conversion route" and finally decided to just convert it! I realize now that conversion is the way to go. It's cheaper, easier, looks n handles much better and there is no question about legality. Now, don't underestimate yourself, you can do the conversion. This forum has all the info you need and some great help is only a ? away if needed. I have very little equipment or experience at this stuff but managed to convert both shotgun an rifle without much trouble. Study the data shown in this forum, buy the parts, study some
  7. Sorry, forgot to identify that i have a "modified" choke on my S-12.
  8. Hey Saxon Saiga, I have not tried slugs at 100 yrds but at 50 yrds mine holds the same pattern shown at 25 yrds except about 4 inches higher. I use an open red dot sight which works for me out to 50 yrds shot gun or rifle. Maybe I'll try 100 yards next chance an see how much drop with S-12. I am surprised/pleased at the accuracy at 50 yrds with this smooth bore.
  9. Got mine today, they look great. Some minor filing to get them to lock up but they are tight and seem to be of the same quality as the factory ones. If they feed reliably they are a great deal!
  10. Hey guys, no problem here, sometimes things just go too fast for us all. Ya, the stock is still for sale same deal. Let me know your zip code and I'll check the shipping cost tomorrow. Will pm you with address data. Thanks
  11. Hi Indy, I have this skel stock I just took off my x39. It will fit an S-12 also, I ran it a little while on the S-12. It will work with iron sights with down rotation of cheek pad but seems to work best with scope or rail mounted red dot. Price: $50 u pay shipping from Washington State or will trade for new S-12 5 round mag an u pay shipping for both items. Will post deal if don't hear from u in couple of days. Well. You offered it to me Oldone3 a few days ago. Guess I didn't respond quick enough. I pm'd You about it a few minutes ago. But I just saw You responded to this guy in

  13. Hey, welcome to the club. Wow! Sweet lookin sisters, they need to get out n play! I have not shot anything but 2 3/4 shells in mine. Mostly 00 buck and slugs, so far it shoots anything I put into it. I think the chamber ramp reshaping mentioned above is helpful with 2 3/4s though. Keep shootin n grinnin
