    If you think $63/carton (out the door) is bad.............you should see what they are in NY where I live. Fucking $9/pack, before tax! It's crazy. Luckily, I live about 15 minutes from the PA border and buy my cigs there. Even at $6.30/pack, with tax..........it's still over a $1 more a pack than I used to pay where I lived in SC. Funny thing is, CVS was cheaper than all of the smoke shops. I'd pick up 4 packs at a time, for about $21, including tax. I stopped at a huge smoke shop in NC on my way moving back here, and a carton of Newports was $47, including tax.

    If those were Newport coupons, I'd be all over them! I had my first smoke at about 12yrs old. Started smoking regularly at about 16 (thanks to one local gas station that never carded people! haha). I'm 29 now, and smoke about 3/4 of a pack a day. While I still "like" to smoke and enjoy it, I plan on quitting after my current carton is gone (about 6 packs left). I hate to say it, but $$ is the main factor in me wanting to quit. Not health reasons. $126 for 2 cartons of Newports (and this is even going over the border to PA to buy them where it's cheaper) is just too much. Th

    I remember there was a batch of M&P's that had bad rust problems, due to a mistake in the finishing process. Might be the same thing with your XD. Definitely have Springfield deal with it. Most likely, if you go to your shop, they're just going to deal with Springfield anyway. So you might as well cut out the middle man.

    Unless you were looking at really expensive 1-4x scopes, or were planning on using an off-brand magnifier and already have an EOTech...........an EOTech + magnifier, compared to a 1-4x scope, is going to be more expensive. EOTech brand 3x magnifiers alone, are almost $600 last time I checked. If you don't already have an EOTech, then you're looking at another $350 (minimum) to complete the setup.

    How resilient is this sort of dip, to chemicals and scratches? I'm personally a fan of digital camo. I think it looks awesome. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, though.

    In general? Yes. People buy <16" AR uppers all the time and put them on AR pistol lowers, which are not NFA items. I admit, I'm not very savy to the whole "constructive intent" issue. But the way I best heard it described, was that if you have no legal way of using the parts, then it will only hurt you if you should end up in court over it. I'm not a lawyer, though.     Only shitty AR's need to be clean to run. That being said, they will not run with a Twinkie crammed in the chamber (but an AK still will). As proven by a member here. I love AR's, but damnit, there's just no arguing with that test.

    Spent the day at the zoo with the fam. Saw some wolfs sort of pacing back and forth, looking very interested in the guy who was weedwacking in the enclosure with them. I hope he's paid well! Hahaha.

    I havent purchased anything from them in a long time. It seems like since they started bringing down prices on certain items over there, they just dumped the losses onto their shipping charges. I looked on there for an ammo can just checking prices and they wanted $5 more to ship an ammo can than the product was selling for. I know USPS had to have a cheaper price but wasnt even an option. Just seems kinda sketchy. So I bought a 40mm ammo can out of state for $20 less than CTDs 308's. 4x the size and less money, couldnt beat it Besides all of that, they had some shady business practices

    I was caught with an AK that was not 922r compliant once. When the officer tried to put the cuffs on me, I pulled away and said "Sir, I don't think you know who I am.     I like this idea. I've been considering a Millet DMS-1 for a budget scope for a long time, but now that PA has their own similar version, that's another option for the budget minded.

    I've always liked the look of those. I'm not sure I'd be willing to drop $200 on a tax stamp for the setup in the vid (or is it some other country?). But that's just because I'm broke and live in NY. It looks great. Someone posted a pic of G36 stock body in the deleted 10/22 thread. I really like the look of that one, too.

I strongly disagree, It's not FINE to ban features that allow you to keep up with the criminals. I know you probably didn't mean that bans were ok, I'm just sayin.... You're right. That's not what I meant. As a resident of NYS, which still basically has the old '94-'04 Clinton ban in place..............bans of any kind are not OK in my book.

    Yeah, they're ugly. But the way I look at it, is this: Some guys created those stocks, basically as a big giant "FUCK YOU!" to Cali law. "You want to ban certain features? Fine. We'll skirt it, and still have effective (even if ugly) weapons. Go fuck yourself!". ..........and that, is a beautiful thing. For those still in Cali, keep fighting the good fight and in the mean time, legally skirt those bullshit laws as much as you can.

    Looks awesome. Great work! Getting a compliment on your craftsmanship with wood, from Yeoldetool, is sort of an honor, IMO. He does gorgeous work, too. One time, I used a pocket knife to shave the end of a tree branch into a sharp tip. I felt pretty bad ass afterwards. Please consider this my entry into the "Woodworker of the Year" award.

    I haven't bought anything gun related in the past few weeks. I sold some stuff on Arfcom, but not at panic prices. I'd rather go for a quick sell, than a huge profit. Put up my barely used UBR for $175/shipped and it sold in like 40 minutes for the full price. I see private sellers charging over $200 for the same stock, which I find funny, when you can get them new from dealers for about $201 shipped.

    Wideners has some 62gr SS109 in stock. $510 (and free shipping) for 5,000. I'm not sure how competitive that is, but I assume the free shipping has to help. It can't normally be cheap to ship that many bullets.
