  1. Best vid Iv seen-well done and thank you
  2. Hi The mags are not interchangeable and nor are most of the rest of the parts. Its a nice shotgun but if I had to free up cash id sell it and not my saiga 12
  3. Yea the world watches. We just had an election that finished about a week after the us one. The us one got almost as much coverage. For good or bad what the us does affects most of the world. Some of the comments in this thread almost make me think that some posters want the world to hate the us.://forum.saiga-12.com/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif Flame away
  4. A 21-year-old woman was arrested in Hamilton, New Zealand, in October after she allegedly kicked in the door of her ex-boyfriend's home, then assaulted him because of a custody dispute between the couple over their pet possum. [New Zealand Press Association, 10-8-08] LOL This was on the front page of my local paper-as it was semi local news
  5. Are you guys sure that this company has done any work on these guns at all? Just that the picture on there site looks exactly how mine came out of the box. This looks to me to just one of the ways that they come from the factory that all you in the USA have not seen. In NZ rifles in this spec cost about 20% more that the plain version.
  6. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=170411353 Sorry they probably wont ship to the us bu nz$ so way less than the same in us$
  7. HI Joe I'm in NZ- Have done some searching on a few boards and it looks like the only supplier I could get the guns or parts off at this time is the same shop/importer that is listing on gunbroker at the moment. This = $$$$ as they like to make a profit margin that makes a lot of people spew-but all fair as far as im concerned as people can decide for them selfs whether to buy or not. The flip side is that whatever they get, about 10 other smaller importers get in 6 to 12 months latter and much cheaper. I'm waiting for this to happen(hay I can as I already have my verper ).
  8. If that is leagle for you guys in the USA I would be happy to send a few over as long as all was done above board. Not cheep but probably cheeper than doing the work yourself, Madmax-I think I know were you got that pic. lol
  9. Im in if your happy to make it a world wide comp
  10. Hi As a another kiwi I fully understand your problem! Gun city in christchurh sells oem 8 round mags that have been moded to only take 7 rounds in russia before being imported.http://www.guncity.co.nz/saiga-12ga-7-shot-magazine-new-xidp121627.html $199-it hurts! Were in NZ are you? I have more than I need, could maybe part with one or two. As we can not import apg mags and cut them down in nz if there is anyone on the fourem who could do the mod and then ship to nz I have a import permet for up to 100 mags already!
  11. I have to go with the Bushnell as well. I have three, one on a s12 (15000rnd aprox), one one a 7.62x39 Verper (3750rnd aprox) and another on .22 (so many boxs of ammo I have long ago lost count-12g hull must DIE!). No problems at all.
  12. Well as there is nothing in the post to say what part of the world she is in why would anyone worry about her braking there local laws? lol
  13. thats easy-for the mags outside of the of the USA all they did was look at the laws around the world and worked out what gave them the largest market. I would love it if someone would make 7 round mags as getting oem 8 round mags PERMANENTLY modified to 7 round before they enter the country(NZ) is a major hassle and expense.
  14. It sure was fun, would still be doing it if it had payed better.
  15. I was a goat culler for a summer job a few years ago-was a lot of fun but only got to shoot them from a chopper a couple of times. Most of the time the bush was way to thick so we got dropped of and got them on foot. We shot one in the mob with a dart first then tryed to clean the rest up-not to hard a if you start at the outside of the mob you can get them to mull around a bit-supressers help a lot as they dont know were you are. Then you put a radio tag on the one you got with the dart. When it wakes up it will find another mob to join-we called them judis goats.
  16. IF you sent me the $ id sell you mine-not sure how you would get on with us customs Tho,you would have to looking that for a one off-I could convert to hunting stock etc before sending if that helps. All said and done a s12 with a magwell would beat it hands down imho
  17. Exactly As another with both a v12 and a s12 I have to agree
  18. Well you learn something any day! I have bought a lot of this ammo and was told that it was made in nz- it is even listed on my receipt as nz made so I will be trying to get some of my $ back. never had any not work tho and it makes things fall over just fine
  19. Bump I was wondering why no one had any thoughts on the post and a friend said what I am thinking about would be v hard to do in the states. I am in New Zealand so things a v diferant down this way-for both good and bad. Good- We are encouraged to have suppressors on our firearms=cheep! new .22 suppressors for $15 anyone? - No min barrel length Bad- we are not allowed mags larger that 7 rounds on a semi auto centerfire - no pistol grips - no folding stocks So after clearing that up does anybody have any ideas? if it wont cycle could I just open up the g

    saiga mags

ProgCounter - have you done this? Has anyone done this that confirm this works? If not, I'm willing to try it since I'll be hunting with mine. It works fine,I just cut with a hacksaw and tidied up with some sandpaper.
  21. I was thinking it would be fun to put a suppressor on my saiga,it would also stop my ears ringing when out after goats. Would a 7.62x39 with a 16 in barrel cycle subsonic ammo? If not could one be made to? The local shop says that they normally shorten ak barrels by a inch or so when fitting a suppressor, would this affect anything with the saiga?
  22. Its good stuff-probably 3/4 of the 7.62 I have fired has been this or close to it. It is made to NATO spec as New Zealand troops regularly work with NATO.
  23. Your in NZ? The magwell will work with the mags pictured. One thing about those mags though is that they go in so tight they don't drop free when you hit the mag release. I am sure though you could sand or shave them down to get them to drop free. Also, was those mags originally 8rd but blocked for the NZ market? I am in the south island of New Zealand. Im glad that the vepr mags will fit as it looks like there wont be any more 7rnd saiga mags imported for almost a year.I have not taken one of the vepr mags apart but I asume that they are a 8rnd body with a block inside as are the
