  1. SOPMOD that was not me, but I have thought about this for some time and tried to talk some friends into going and buying the dies from Corbin. Most of them don't seem to think past the present moment in time. Now they are saying I should have listen to you and bought that gun or ammo a year or two ago when I could get it.
  2. I am more concerned with getting powder and primers than bullets but if they tax bullets it would pay for itself fast that is why I save my 22 cases. On a side note that is how Speer and others got their start I believe. I know AR-15.com can be a pain but they had some info on this a few years back.
  3. I thank Tony still move the gas block back on 10" and 12" guns just not as far as the 8" so it is more reliable for the light loads. The problem with cutting your barrel back and not move the gas block is you will need to open up the gas hole and it will get dirty real fast. I have a 8" Tromix and I have to clean it a little more often than stock to keep it reliable, but if you plan on just shooting heavy loads you probably would not need to do anything to the gas system. For me not shooting the light loads is would be a problem as I would never get to shoot, also the Federal low recoil bucksh
  4. It looks like a Tromix to me trigger guard welded, the safety stop looks right, stock and looks like his backing plate, his front grip, and so on. If anymore ? take the grip off and see if if it is just a bolt welded at the correct angle.
  5. 250 Is a smaller # than I thought it would be it makes me feel kind of special .I wish I would have got one of your ar15 also.
  6. Scoutjoe that is exactly what I was saying in reality the pellets will probably still be in the wad but with the longest shot inside my house it might open up a bit and be the size of a baseball. I have not tested the buckshot past 25yards in my SBS those groups where 8"-9".
  7. I have to say some of you must live in some big house's. I know my SBS will group no bigger than a baseball with the Federal low recoil 9 pellet load anywhere in my house. If I get a stray pellet than I most likely will have missed completely, and if that is the case than I could have missed with a handgun or a rifle just as easy and had a stray bullet. The only things that I would worry about would be the legal aspect: NFA Item losing it, and the lawyers, and second they are loud.
  8. thank you Doc S I might just try one of those DMS scopes.
  9. I ordered the night before thanksgiving and got my order today one week with the holiday and USPS. This was my third order and all have been great. Thanks
  10. I was thinking of going with a millet dms scope on the 16" saiga for my dad. Has anyone tried this scope on a 308 or anything else? I was also looking at POSP but have never looked through one and thought that 1-4 power of the millet dms sounded perfect.

    Supply

In my opinion I would keep them if you would just turn around later and buy them again as the prices just keep going up. If there is a new ban it will change things, I don't think we will not get saiga's forever.
  12. Called RAA and they said they spec it at 1:10 twist but he thinks it is closer to 1:12 which would make since with the 147grain surplus ammo. It looks like the 168 fedral gold medal match shots good thou. I have not had a chance to shoot the 16" my dad just got. ccmano I pm'd you on the stock.
