Only issues are I drilled out the top of one of the receiver rivets as shown in picture also the front sight post needs straightening up. Some wear from use and handling. Included: Stock 8 rnd mag Sling generic scope mount with chinese made 4x scope. $650 shipped OBO, FTF near FT. Wayne, IN or will ship within the U.S. (excluding AK or HI) to your FFL. Shipping is included (insurance extra).
  2. I didn't realize the Vepr's were of such high build quality. I realize they're the "Cadillacs" of AK's but are their manufacturing process on the level of Stag AR's (or other custom shops for that matter)? Aren't they still military mules?
  3. Another victim of the other war, political correctness. Some people feel they have to make examples to show how fair and compassionate we are EVEN IF THEY DON'T EXIST! It's war, it's not pretty, but don't punish the people who we trust to make these decisions when they make the decisions. People who call for this type of "justice" are a million miles away comparing Afghanistan to their neighborhood. Things work differently in a place where any moment could be your last.
  4. So that's why a M249 costs so much. you would think they would advertise the babe magnet feature more.
  5. For the time and money involved you'd be better of with a 308 AR platform. Not pimping AR's, but for what you're looking for why not start with a better platform..? As far as that goes you might as well start with a bolt gun. I just want to see it done. Just so we know. If I had the resources I would do it just because it's never been done. What is the true capabilities of a Saiga? matter of fact is we don't know.
  6. That's what it's gonna look like on the line at Langley if the Pentagon has it's way. They offered up the raptor on the chopping block for budget cuts. I'm all for being realistic about our work in Iraq and Afghanistan but you can never forget that we can't see the future. If we invest all of our resources into policing tactics and equipment what's gonna happen when some superpower flips their lid and we have to engage in full scale warfare? We'll be steamrolled because we said "ehhh we won't need it". Just sayin.
  7. So when is somebody gonna install a bull barrel? I know "polishing a turd...." bla bla bla. I just want to see what a 1" Shillen select match barrel and action lock would make happen. The dynamics of the AK action may be less than ideal but I know a good barrel would get us something. I just want to see it done, just so we know. I bet you would see from impressive numbers. the Saiga may be loose as a goose when the breech is open but it locks up pretty tight, especially with precision head spacing and a little bit of truing. just a suggestion. Tired of getting crapped on by AR people ab
  8. Any body have a super vepr stock lying around? would probably kill to get one.
  9. That's probably has more to do with your skill than his rifle Ssssshhhhhh......you're ruining it. 8) I won't claim anything for myself but he smokes a pack a day and drinks energy drinks like water then wonders why he can't hold on target. It's still a fun claim to fame.... we'll just leave the background info out.
  10. I can out-shoot my buddies AR, is that satisfactory?
  11. ha ha ha.... I was watching and about 2min in I came to the realization I had been listening to that crap for too long.
  12. I'm glad there are other people out there that oppose kneeling before people who are unwilling to help anyone but themselves. Yes let's apologize for not wanting to adopt Eastern-European socialism, for removing ruthless tyrants from power and from standing up against the proliferation of nuclear weapons by terrorist states. It's true that we are not popular in most places in the world but doing what is right is rarely popular. I would rather die a proud American with a star spangled banner in hand knowing I did what I could to advance freedom amongst all men than live as a sniveling coward
  13. I was hoping for a Railgun, not a railway gun. I was thinking the exact thing. I was trying to work out the physics in my head as I opened it. E=1/2mv^2 <------ we all benefit from that one
