  1. It is a piston gun, it will eat what ever you feed it. Might be a bit less accurate, but that is about it.
  2. nyfirearms has several members up that way, I bet they would be able to make some solid recommendations.
  3. Fine by me, I take them all off anyway.
  4. Looks like another front heavy over priced factory piston gun. When are the big boys going to realize that adding half a pound of steel that far out on a barrel sucks. I love piston AR's when done right, being grossly front heavy like so many others is not right.
  5. Haven't you guys seen the video of the guy with an s12 strapped in a helo shooting hogs on the run? Shit he is using what looks to be an MD 20 rd drum. It is absolutely awesome! An s12 will take down hogs no problem.
  6. Moly resin is awesome.
  7. Bob, The billet lower really excites me, due to being in NY we can not have a shotgun with a pistol grip. IF you were able to make a lower that can accept that (though really ugly) thumb hole AR stock you would open up a huge market. Good luck! I will keep my fingers crossed!
  8. 99 is a screaming deal for the amount of work it takes to polish this much steel (not to mention re-profile certain parts) and on top of all that it include rather pricey fed ex shipping. That said I can not wait to get mine back.
  9. Not sure, I do not run any aftermarket rails (on my siagas) as I find that they add weight but have no real benefit for me. Though the Chaos stuff does look nice, maybe you should get in touch with the manf. and see what they say.
  10. I did get both of my sets from CSS, one for the rifle that has a narrow base in order to fit the gas block, and one standard one cut down for the s12's gas block. I will be traveling for business over the next two days but I will get a pic up when I return.
  11. My XS sets were $80 for each. That leave the saiga specific G3 front site, ~$50 and a G3 rear base that you can grind yourself. The ones I have gotten that were modded for the siaga looked like they were done a 5 year old with a bench grinder. should be under $150 ish for the "set". The added benefit here is that you don't have to add a ton of unneeded weight with a tacticool rail system. Light and functional >*
  12. Good to hear! You can get the sights for a decent price if you search around. If one of the main siaga parts retailers would put togeather a pkg it would lower the price a bunch. all you would need is the following. Siaga shotgun or rifle modified G3 sight Rear base XS sight kit No need for the rear drum at all. I can not wait to get my s12 bolt back from Pauly and getting some range time.
  13. I find this rather amusing as well. I have found without a doubt both sides have "typical" assholes that perpetuate the problem. Both platforms can be extremely reliable, both platforms can be accurate, both platforms can also be had in several calibers. I tend to lean toward the AR's just due to what I feel are better ergonomics, but with all the changes I have made to my saigas, it is hard not to become a much larger fan.
