  1. If I'm going to convert my saiga is the tapco G-2 trigger really that much better than the stock trigger? Anyone feel strongly one way or another?
  2. Thanks a ton, all of these ideas have really helped me out. I'm thinking would it be best just to use the peep or put a scope on. Is the saiga accurate enough to warrant a scope?
  3. I've taken the stock off my fathers which he recently purchased and see where the stock will fit but there doesn't look like theres any room for the pistol grip or a hole to put the grip nut.
  4. How hard is it to move the trigger and drill the holes to add the pistol grip and 6 position stock modification? Are there any other power tools you need beside a drill and a dremel, and are there any places to send the rifle out to get it done professionally?
  5. Thanks a lot that really helps me out. Not to sound too ignorant but what is the "G2" I've seen it pop up in other forums but I can never really grasp what it is. Thanks
  6. I've also been reading about all the compliance parts needed to use high cap mags, if I install a tapco stock, pistol grip, different handguard and a bullet guide to use ar-15 mags through a galil adapter how many parts will I still need to add to make it "legal".
  7. Hi I've been lookin at the sights on the saiga and I would rather have peep sights on the saiga, personally I perfer peep to notch sights. Is there anyway to put peep sights on the saiga, has anyone tried or heard of this before? Also I know that the tapco adjustable stock fits on the saiga without modifications but does the pistol grip go on easy as well or is there some small modifying needed?
  8. I noticed something weird the other day, my dad has a 20" .223 saiga and I've shot it but it seems uncomfortable because I want to put my hand where the mag is so when I move it up to the front grip it just becomes uncomforatable and akward to shoot. This being said I went to the gun store the other day and looked at a 20" .308 and when I was holding it I noticed it was comfortable and my hand was on the front grip naturally. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed this?
  9. Thanks for all the ideas. I live in Connecticut and I was talking to someone in my class who has a 5.45 ak and he was saying that you have to specially register 7.62x39 ak's with the state and when i went to my local gun store the other day they had just recieved a shipments of saigas and had .223 and .308 but no 7.62x39's to be found? Anyone know if this is true? Also I was wondering what the verdict on the .308 saiga is? I was also wondering aproximately how much would 500 rounds of .223 cost as opposed to .308?
  10. Hi, I'm thinking about buying a saiga in the future and I'm wondering which caliber I should go with. I'm opting for the 16 inch barrel length because it's more comfortable. My dad's got a 20 inch .223 saiga. The main things I'm considering when looking for a saiga are 1.)Availability of inexpensive ammo. 2.) Accuracy 3.) Ability to accept surplus mags or ease of modifying surplus mags 4.) Availability of aftermarket parts Thanks
