  1. As for the restrictions on the AW ban shotguns, the same thing applies to them that does on a rifle. From: http://www.gunnerynetwork.com/assault_weap...-ban-facts.html The law defines firearms as "assault weapons" by one or both of two methods: name and description. [18 U.S.C. 921(a)(30)]. All told, the law affects more than 175 semi-automatic rifles, pistols and shotguns and revolving cylinder shotguns a cross-section of firearms of various sizes, shapes, and calibers/gauges. Under the law, the term "semiautomatic assault weapon" means: any of the firearms, or copies or duplicate
  2. I contacted the ATF and they told me that they had yet to rule that the Choate stock on the S-12 was a pistol grip. I moved my trigger group around and put the stock on it , then took it to the compliance guy here in town and said no problem. 3. I will need a few of the FSB's. What kind of price are you talking and will you be amking the ones you had again? If so, how much do they run?
  4. Our 1st SGT dropped the CPT in front of the whole company (along with some other guys) because he is not going to JRTC next month. He did not even ask, he just ask the CPT if he was going, and when he got an answer he didn't like he said, "Sir, why dont you just come up here with the other guys and give me push-ups until I am tired." Granted, Top is a former Marine DI, built like a fridge, and just has this presence about him (as all 1st SGT's should). But I guess being in this kind of unit things are a bit different than regular army. What kind of can was it? If it was a Gemtech that
  5. Dude, I feel your pain and I COMPLETLY understand where you are coming from. I think members of the military should have the right to buy whatever restricted items they see fit (Hell for that matter, I dont think any of this shit should be restricted in ANY way. I can see background checks on SOME NFA items but thats about it. The registry being closed is total bullshit). And finding a sympathetic commander may not often be a problem, but if you get some over zelous ATF goon, they can make life very difficult for you and the CO who signed off on it. It has happened before in the CA Guard. A CO
  6. Here is something interesting. I have been looking for what constitutes an "assault shotgun" and this is all I can find: a semi-automatic shotgun that has at least two of the following: a folding or telescoping stock; a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon; a fixed magazine in excess of five rounds; and an ability to accept a detachable magazine. http://www.gunnerynetwork.com/assault_weap...-ban-facts.html So you can have the detachable mag, even the 8 round mags without restriction if you dont have the same configuration I recently got
  7. Because it is not part of your MTOE and cant be used by you in execution of your military duties. Thats the bottom line. I know it is stupid, but they will still nail you for it. I have lots of guys in my Battalion that feel the same way. James Bunten SPC, BSC 1/19th SFG

    My new toy!

Neither. (well, I might be a cop in the next few months, still waiting to hear from them) Right now I am just a simple FFL holder, but my packet for the SOT goes out tomorrow.

    My new toy!

Hey, send me the design plans and I will market them! There are tons of people that want something like this for their AK's, and I am always looking for something to make money on. And I have access to stamping and CNC machines. Email me off line.

    My new toy!

But this cost me 2 minutes of time, and not $30. When I get a couple more I will go this route. But for now, it works fine. Does this hold open work on regular AK's? If so, you have missed the boat and you need a marketing guy!

    My new toy!

Now you see why I sold you the one I had! I liked that gun a lot. But this is true love! This weekend she gets a rial and combat light, new fiber optic sights, and the selector notched to hold the bolt open (it does not have it like the one I sold you ) And I might fab a new BIGGER mag release. This one is small and kinda sucks for quick mag changes.

    My new toy!

I would think so, but I would also bet that it is right around that time that the ATF will rule it a DD like the steet sweeper. I am positive that they will end up doing that sooner or later.

    My new toy!

Here is my latest addition. And that is the 8rd mag in it I have 6 of those and a dozen or so of the 5rd mags. That should be enough for home defense or a LEO demo. I am going to add a rail and light to the front of it, but other than that I LOVE THIS GUN!
  14. As soon as the new onr gets here I would be happy to.
  15. AHHHH! It broke my fu@&ing shoulder!
  16. It is legal for dealers to have them. I am waiting on my gun with the pistol grip and side folding stock to get here as we speak. I am actually considering having a select fire version made when my SOT gets gets here as an LEO sample. THAT one I would take on deployment with me!
  17. If you like that, here is the whole collection from the original site. http://www.accuratereloading.com/videos.html
  18. I carry for 5rd mags in a SAW pouch, and the 8rd mags are carried in a 4 cell Romanian 40rd AK mag pouch. They need pulls on them to get them out easier. In 3 gun I can reload 5 or 8 round quicker than even the best guys can reload 4.
