  1. I need some long gas block pins that someone might have leftover from a rifle conversion. thanks
  2. Dinzag told me on mine I would have to cut the taper on the end of the barrel and thread it for 17mm. Then I would have to send him whatever brake I wanted to use and he would thread it too for 17mm. I want to run that same fsc brake and he said if I didn't cut the taper that it would be sticking past the first ports.
  3. I thought I was the only one with that avatar! Damn, it's like when you go to the bar with a really cool shirt on and theres a guy there with the same shirt.
  4. I was going through all the little specialty drawers at Ace hardware looking for rubber vaccuum caps when I found an assortment of rubber stoppers. I got the size that looks to be 3/4" at the big end--took it home and drilled a hole a little bigger than a 1/4" --not all the way through both sides but close-- and put it on my bolt handle. It feels really good and virtually sticks to your hand and you have to pull on it pretty hard to get it off. I'm puttin one on everything it'll fit on! Try it out I hope you guys like it as much as I do

  6. I was using winchester soft points. I'm not sure on bullet weight because I didn't buy them--they came pre-loaded in that five round mag that my brother gave me a few Christmas' ago
  7. Yeah one shot, it suprised me too. He flopped around for about 45 seconds. I'm used to shootin a 7 mag so I didn't know what to expect. The shot was a little farther back than I wanted but I got the liver and the lungs. The shock being so close to his spine I think is what dropped him--but miraculously did no damage to any backstrap.
  8. Hey MAV, What kind of rail is that you are using?? Does it have sights on it or something??
  9. Gun season opened up this weekend. Where my stand is located I have no shot over 30 yards-so the only unscoped rifle I have is my ak, and with the brush being thick on the trail to my stand it seemed like the best option. After sitting in my stand for a few hours and no action I hear something running across the flooded marsh. Then I caught a glimpse thruogh the cedar trees at a deer running--I guess something had spooked it, so I climbed down and went to go see what it was since I coldn't tell whether it was a buck or not. I followed my trail out of the cedar hammock to the edge of the marsh
  10. Wow Thats probably one of the best camo jobs I've ever seen, Good work man!
  11. How noticable is it for you guys when the detent locks into place? I can't tell at all if it is in the little notch at all. It might be because my detent pin is a litttle rounded off. I really dont mind the not clickin, I just want to be sure that it doesnt move at all. Maybe I'll try and rotate the pin to a better edge or open up the notches in the plug with the dremel.
