  1. naaaaa......................................but had it been an AR.................... kerplunk
  2. I will chime in here a little late on this one. I have had the same issue on a brand new .223 (two weeks ago). It only happened once in forty rounds and I considered it a fluke.
  3. I got mine from Kreb's. $80 http://www.krebscustom.com/PartsPages/KalashnikovParts.shtml
  4. You might look at this. Works good on a 308. http://www.krebscustom.com/PartsPages/KalashnikovParts.shtml
  5. I should be getting a brand new 223 received from a local FFL this week. I would make a PERFECT beta tester for you as someone with a current model with no rounds count
  6. He might be ignoring you like you did me on the saiga 20 question......... who knows.
  7. Well I guess there's no point in PMing him then. Good luck with it.
  8. What's the new price and where are you located?
  9. To help in your quest: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...008116&tc=photo
  10. Do a search for "New Century Red Dot". I just got one for the wife's 22 and I think it's worth the $16 shipped off eBay to see if it will work for you. The guy I bought from sells paintbal stuff, but it fits a 3/8" weaver rail. I like it because you can keep both eyes open making it perfect for advancing or clearing an area. I'm considering maybe getting one for the Mak 90. The only worry is if it is built well enought to handle the recoil of 7.62 without loosing zero.
  11. the recoil is not that bad, my 357 has more. i have one of the older hp 45, and it is like a brick in your hand, quite heavy. but the recoil is not that bad <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are correct. I went ahead and bought one yesterday and tried it out today. I liked it. It lets you know that you have a major player in your hand, but doesn't abuse you. I enjoyed the recoil in fact. I ran through 3 magazines (27 rounds) just to get a feel of the girl. Quite impressed. No failures/jams. Shot near point of aim from what I could tell, but was not really shooting actual target
  12. How is the recoil compared to other guns (357, 9mm, etc)? Thanks
  13. I'm within probably a week to buying one of these. Anyone fired/owned one? Comparison between it and the 9mm. Amount of recoil? Thanks
  14. This came from original Charter and not Charco or Charter 2000. Asking price $185. No blueing wear observed and seemed to function good. What you think?
  15. Norinco SKS, also seen on the receiver the word "Poly". The stock was what caugt my eye to begin with. Looked uncharacteristic for a SKS. Rich deep color. The forward sling point fixed and doesn't move. Asking price was $185. Does this variant ring a bell to anybody?
  16. Do a search on cnn.com & foxnews.com for "Mitchell". Fox news headlined this incident as a story. CNN burried it right at the bottom of their article about Terri. How sad the obvious attitudes CNN has regarding protecting one's self with a gun.

  18. Perfect point. With 18 years in the service myself, I have an established protocol with weapons that is now automatic. This weekend, I had taken the 308 to sight it in, two mags, and about 60 rounds. I am in the habit of running trough 3-4 rounds then checking the target for accuracy. On one of my runs, I shot the 4th round, instinctively dropped mag, and pulled bolt back to verify "clear" and here comes a round ejecting. For some reason, I loaded that mag with 5 rounds. If I assumed that the gun was clear, I would have been down range with a round chambered and pointing my way. You MUST verif
  19. Nice gun, F4D. What scope mount is that? How accurate is it? Does it move any during firing? Thanks? (If you can't figure out, I'm having scope mount problems.)
  20. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976453344.htm I have bought a MAK 90 from this source and happy with it
