  1. There are 2 locking tabs at the front of the cover. Cover is hinged in the rear, flips up then a pin can be pushed and the whole stock rear trunnion and dust cover slide off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmSfC4G0sT4&list=UUW76JcOhxCh2pTin_GOJ57w&index=12
  2. AA = Alliance Armament makers of the wraithmaker drum. Lots of bad blood on this forum from them. When Eric from the video above gets back in town I'm gonna go to his shop and talk to him about that gun. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/23155-wraithmaker/
  3. I'm thinking it's time for a new hobby. This has become unaffordable to me.

My suggestion, if you want it. Just take a break. Prices will go down eventually. I really believe that.

In the meantime, look at accessories that perhaps haven't gone up. Clean and modify, just don't shoot so much right now.

So many things on my "want" list that have gotten out of reach. My plan is to wait it out and hope for the best.

  4. Signed and hope something can be done with that absurd law.
  5. I watched this video on milling the reciever. Looks like a fairly easy but time consuming process with the jig and drill press.
  6. FPS Russia was very close to being expired from this explosion. Why in hell would you even want to be that damn close.
  7. Every saiga owner should own a dremel. Looks good and now you can be proud to say that you did the work.
  8. This forum was started during the last ban in 2003 and there was still plenty to talk about. We aren't going anywhere.
  9. That's what it looks like also looks like a 8 or 10 round mag laying in the trunk too.
  10. Number of gas ports 3 or 4 is good 2 ports may have problems. Also check rear trunnion for carrier strikes which would indicate possible overgassing.
  11. Palmetto state armory sells the ATI Omni polymer stripped lower for 49.99 right now. Im picking me up a couple.
  12. Here is my contribution to the thread. Hope I win, I have been looking for a good excuse to tackle a rear trunnion conversion and this would fit the bill. Good luck everyone and a BIG THANKS for offering us this opportunity to win. MERRY CHRISTMAS With a friend
  13. IZ-108's have a rib that runs the length of the gas block. Its adjustable for elevation
  14. A few different threads are already posted about the Vityaz here is a good one http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/72069-izh-9x19-vityaz-saiga-let-it-be-for-import/page__st__60
  15. I think the hole for the screw is pre stamped in the receiver then assembled as its the same as the 7.62x39 and .223 receiver. The .410 uses a screw on the gas block to hold on the hand guard and the rifles have a pin on the gas block and lock in place with a screw where that hole is.
  16. Damn I was 2 away. Congrats to RED333 and thanks to ChiliRelleno for offering us a chance to win these products.
  17. Someone on Arfcom was stating they read it was a AR15 style rifle. http://www.oregonlive.com/clackamascounty/index.ssf/2012/12/clackamas_town_center_shooting.html Prayers out to the victims and relatives of this tragedy.
