  1. Does anyone have a original Saiga 223 10 round magazine they want to sell so I can convert one without changing my original????? email me at gary@daytonagary.com
  2. hunting in Florida with centerfire is limited to a 5 round magazine. Anyone know if one is available made for the 223 Saiga or know of a way to convert existing magazines so they will only hold 5 rounds???? I am using 30 round promag with no bullet guide now and work flawlessly so would like to use something similar that requires no bullet guide or else convert my 30 round to a 5 round.
  3. get the pro mag for AK in .223 calibur. You don't need a bullet guide for these. Just use a file or dremel tool to make the top left side of the mag similar to the factory 10 round mag so the magazine will go all the up and seat in the gun properly. These promag's work perfect but do fit a little loose side to side in the gun so I built up the side of the magazine so they fit more snugly but they did shoot and load perfectly without the work to fix the width of the magazine to fit snug in receiver. The promag's are are just a few thousands of an inch narrower than the factory mag is the r
  4. Look at the BSA one for around $50. You can change to 7 different brightness and 4 different size settings of dot. I hit a 3" plastic ball every shot with mine at 50 yards with my Saiga.
  5. Care to post a picture of the magazine. sure, photo is attached. Haven't had a chance to finish it off and make it look nice yet so you can see the little bit of work needed to make it fit the gun and not wobble side to side. Shot another 100 trouble free rounds through it yesterday. Will finish the rough edges off using automotive body filler to hide the parts I added and repaint it so it will look like it came from the factory when I get done with it. Going to convert the gun to pistol grip and finish with duracoat the complete gun. Probably semi-gloss black with a few touches
  6. I bought my Saiga a couple weeks ago and been reading this forum for the last couple months. You guys had me all worried about finding high capacity mags that would reliably work after all the discussions on different makes of composite and steel mags that do and do not work well with the Saiga. Don't know if I just got lucky but I bought a 30 round composite made by Pro Mag and it works flawlessly without any bullet guide in gun and only modifications to the mag was the minute it took to use my dremel tool to relieve the top left side of the mag like the factory is relieved. Shoots first
