  1. HMMM no one ever heard of a thing called a cooler, seriously, get a good cooler, put inside a homemade box with great stuff foam, pack with ice, will keep frozen stuff froze for at least a day in 90 deg weather
  2. old guy I shoot with lives in a private community with a private golf course and indoor/outdoor range, i thought that was interesting
  3. If you want too be educated about this, look up some info about the Akins Accelerator it is exactly the same thing, batf approved it, then once he was producing and selling it they changed their mind and declared it a NFA Item and demanded names of who bought them... be warned
  4. check out Ballistic Products leader in shotgun reloading
  5. From long range point of view I can say the DPMS with 24 bull barrel runs very good out too 1000yds, I put brake on a stock triggered gun that shoot 3 in at 600yds, hits 8in plate at 1000 regularly, and one of earliest DPMS 308 that is bone stock with jp trigger that does equally well, also JP Upper work with dpms lowers, all depends on what your looking for, also lowers available through brownells that take G3 mags that use dpms uppers.
  6. if your just wanting too build guns, get Caspian, if you want colt can't help you, if you want too sell frames give me some more info and price, You can call caspain or have your dealer call them and ask for gunsmith special frames, can be blems or tooling marks, cheap, I pick one up at camp perry for 75, alot from 50 to 150. be leary of essex frames
  7. having built a 5.45 ar-15 upper, i can tell you, buy C-products mags , you can make 223 mags work for about 5-10 rounds
  8. ditto on the Seven dust, or Thiodan if your qualified, sometimes you have too make a damn out of cardboard and ducttape to get them too crawl through it, just wait till dark, best way too kill whole nest.. should be consider ably less in 24 hours,, none in 48
  9. i an going too assume it has been red locktited, you need too get some good penetrating oil, kroil or zep-45, soak it all, tube probably stuck good too, then I would wait a day at least, i would put a rod inside tube too support it and make sure you support receiver good, smack around nut with hammer, good whack but not enough too bend anything breaks loose locktite, then go for it smack handle with hammer when loosening
  10. davidsons is a very good wholesale distributor, they have a lifetime guarantee they add on alot of guns they sell, just send it back and they'll replace it, I like too use them for the questionable quality service companies, like taurus, ruger, browning, and they also get exclusive closeouts from ruger ask your dealer about them
  11. i saw the duplex slugs and fell in love, actually used them in deer season last fall, both styles in 1 ounce, solid and with the petals, shot within an inch of federal tru-ball at 100 yards, very accurate. I only shot a deer with the petals type, and really didn't see damage much different from regular slug , with the solids shooting a elm tree, slug was deeper by about 1-1/2 at 70 yards. for price I won't buy any more, but still think they are cool.
